Building my first PC. Just wanted to check that these components all fit together and work ;)

Case: Fractual Design 1000
PSU: Corsair CX-500M
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 EVO
CPU: AMD FX6300
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu
Graphics Card: Asus GTX 560TI
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500gb
Optical Drive: OcUK 24x DVD±RW

Nice case think I'll get that. Checked the 7850 benchmarks, and noticed that while it generally outperformed the 560 ti, in Battlefield 3 the 560 ti had better framerates. Since I will be playing a lot of battlefield 4, I wondered if there will be any similarities. I know that DICE worked with AMD for bf4 though, so I'll definitely keep an eye out for deals on the 7850.

Ignore older benchmarks for the 7850, they're mostly before AMD massively improved the drivers. With a regular overclock on the 7850 you're looking at 30-60% gains over a 560 ti. Benchmarks for the 270X will be more reliable, this at stock is about the same performance as an OC'd 7850.

Oh ok, glad to hear it. Hopefully the deal isn't on the Asus 7850 (it's huge!!!)

Is this now 100% confirmed (can't really be bothered reading the thread sorry :p)?

I should have waited more 2 weeks, damm, i got the msi one at 107 pounds last week on sunday

It runs really well dirt3, dota 2, backlit retribution, I hope it runs thief well( choosen on the silver ticket)

Also it is really good with an 6300 and m5a97 evo r2.0, so far no problem with the three of them
If you could stretch it put an seasonic 520w and an evo 840 ( boot time is less than 15 seconds) and really sillent on an zalman z11

Not too bothered about boot time, although it is incredible the speed you can get from SSDs. Very reasurring to know you have had a good experience with the 6300 and m5a97 evo, so thanks very much!
