Mrs Lost Kids Passports

Am I the only one that check all the important documents I need to prior to BOOKING international traveling then storing them in a safe place until the day of travel?

i assume he did and has lost them since, its like what we do in my family, we had them last time we flew and have put them in a safe place so when we book flights we assume they are still in the place

no your not, and anything else is just negligent,

documents checked to be there and in date, elastic band around them (for me 5 passports, me, missus and 3 kids) prior to booking,

checked again 5 days or so before departure,

as a father, I believe this is one of your true responsibilities to your family, can you imagine the horror, explain to 3 kids, they are not going to Disneyland after all, because Daddy's is a moron?

ohh and photocopy's of passports stored on the cloud, should I lose them, at least I can get home after some checks, made quicker, by the fact I have full passport details

@OP I wish you the best of luck with this, but I think your only true hope is that BA are very understanding with these 'events' and will re-schedule flights until this is sorted

Obviously haven't got a women in your life :p

When they touch things, only they can find them.

Nah, BA didn't do squat. As the flights were upgraded, it renders them useless for anything. Hey ho, spunky ticket up wall.

I am normally very good with passports. They get stored in the same filing cabinet all the time. We recently were in the UK and I flew back later than the family as I stayed with work, so they arrived home first and the wife dealt with the passports. Which is where there has been the problem. We have to have them in use frequently with travel in and out of Switzerland as well, so they get regular use, so keeping them in one place becomes more important. I can't have a go at her much more, she's gutted.

My nan isn't going to last much longer which is why I have to get back to see her now, so for the Mrs and grandkids to miss this is killing her. That and it's my birthday sunday too, so I'll miss having the family with me but hey. I'm going to get **** faced in the lounge later.

The only ONE minor silver lining is that, although I won't have the company of my family on Sunday, the bill at Hawksmoor will be a lot cheaper...

Or they deny all knowledge of the item or ever having moved it.

When the item is subsequently found they either remember that yes they did put it there or they still deny having put it there..even if all evidence point to them having moved it!!!

In the heat of the "battle" over this last night I was accused as the person who MUST HAVE taken them and recycled them with the recycling. I don't know where they get it sometimes?! Women's logic is, well, illogical for one.

You need to learn this early on, in a relationship, unless you want to go dry for the rest of the year, the women is always right. When she's right, she's right, when she's wrong, she's right.

Nod agree and do your best to resolve the issue, when they calm down, often you'll get something out of that ordeal - they're Women, but they're still human.

At least it gives you ammo for the next few disagreements, "So dear do you remember that time you lost the kids passports?" :D

Bet she'll find it the day after you left, in a hand bag she last used to a coat pocket. Hell, it could be in with he kid's toy box after your missus let the kids carry it on the way home and then they threw it in with the toys.

Another example of how their attempt to reason is so different to our approach. Got to love them for it as it makes life so much more interesting. :D

Lets be fair guys.

How many times have you miss-placed something and gone bat**** crazy and blamed it on the mrs? To then find it where you had left it. That phone charger that you forgot you had moved from the bedroom to behind the sofa.

Mrs: "So where did you find it?"
Mr: "In bottom kitchen drawer, why would you even put it there?"

Like a boss.
