FUMING!!

PS4 has arrived, turned on ok, went and logged into my wifi, then went to do the update...
All of a sudden the audio goes a bit funny, then the screen flickers on and off, and now I just get the flashing blue strip! Tried multiple cable, directly into my tv and through an av receiver, cannot get any video output. Guess I contact supplier or Sony direct?

Made in China here too...
 
got the system at 13:13 and all has gone well so far, also had need for speed and the second controller from argos but no camera :(... was hoping to try out playroom... might pop to shop and pick one up then return to when the other one is delivered

for the last few days ive been looking around for in stock xbox ones just to get the next gen and im glad i held off... nothing against the xbox i just alwas had intentions of the PS4.

ive watched many HD videos on youtube and none show what the system is capable of... need for speed looks very very nice, cant get COD upgrade to work as PSN is being hammered but looking forward to a direct comparrison.

Tried safe/recovery mode?
 
After a few hours setting up and playing have to say I'm very impressed. Swaping between menus is so smooth, and it's nice to see trophy data sync quicky. Took a bit of time to get logged on to the ps network, but I assume that's volume of traffic :D

Ditto. Received the machine this morning, but plugged it in about 1.30pm. Did the System Update fine but cannot connect to PSN at all. Got as far as the initial sharing options etc, but it threw me out.

So frustrating because you can't do a lot without PSN on the machine.

Thankfully the machine appears to be functioning OK and sorry to those that have a faulty machine or are without due to delivery issues.
 
Recieved mine earlier today. Fired it up about 1:30 and finally managed to log into psn about an hour later.

I'm very impressed with the ps4, firmware update downloaded whilst I was setting up the console (date, time etc) and installed in a couple of minutes.

Then popped Kill zone in, within a minute or so I was able to play whilst it carried on installing and updating.

Graphics look amazing too, even on my 32" 720p tv.
 
well got everything installed and setup and i have issues lol
seems xboxone had less issues with there xboxlive service on launch ps4 is all over the bloody place sometimes you can get in others you get errors and then playstation store is a laggy mess when browsing about ....

now about the ps4 light bar on the console, when i turn my console on the bar goes to a pulsing blue then starts up and changes to white and never changes back to blue its constantly white BRIGHT WHITE i might add its distracting me lol i thought the light stays blue ??????

Yes, I did a bit of research before committing to taking it back - tried holding the on "button" for the "7 or 8 seconds" it recommended - all mine did was turn off again eventually - the 2 beeps never came!?!?

Tried numerous leads, HDMI cables/ports, a different TV and I even popped the top off to make sure the hard drive was seated properly - nothing!!! :confused:

You can try and contact Sony but something tells me they are a tad busy for some reason today??? That's why mine has gone back to the retailer!

Exactly, can't even connect Vita to it without being signed on. Thought they would have been prepared for this. :rolleyes:

I know you can't redeem the psn 14 days if you've been a member before but does this include the time when sony had all the hacking trouble and gave everyone a free month?

If so then that's a bit dodgy to have to miss out cause of that.
