will this 650w power my sig

Usually when we spec, 550w for single gpu's and 750w+ For dual gpu's.

These are for quality branded PSU from Corsair, XFX, ANTEC to name a few, I don't know who mentioned that sized PSU.

RJC,
just used the ASUS psu checker and it reckons i need a 750w minimum with my current sig, is that calculator right? as i do what some headroom

LOL, Just did my system and it recommended 800w!!!

Ignore PSU checkers!

You are using quality PSU not some cheap 50p unit :D

well the last cheap unit i had i overloaded it and it burnt out :p and now my xfx 850w which is made by seasonic is wearing out after 1 year :( so i bloody hope the 650w corsair is better :D

the ball bearings in the fan are going, as its making a hissing and scraping noise than fans make when they wear out, and also at night when im in the bed the pc reboots itself and then gets stuck and the monitor has nothing on the screen and the cpu fan sounds like the speed when the pc boots up

bought it from somewhere else and cant rma it as i have messed up the warranty by opening the box and trying to clean it which did absolutely nothing,
so yes im hoping the 650 corsair will be enough for my system, and i want fully modular gold as mine isnt modular and only bronze
plus it must be good as the 8pack himself uses it

good thing about the corsair is the fan only spins at 40%+ load so not all the time like the xfx so it should last longer, i also get a 5yr warranty on it and this time i will put the cm690 on a wooden board instead of just on the carpet because i have my fan on the psu down because in the pci slot above it i have the xonar d2 which gets a bit hot
so yes the 650w should be fine for me AND its fully modular so i wont have my case full of loads of loose cables which i dont need!
