RIP Paul Walker

Horrible news - he seemed like a decent guy in everything he did outside of F&F, and he was integral to that series (one of my favourites).

RIP.

A shame, feel sorry for the 15 year old kid.

Always a bloody tree in the way when someone happens to loose control of a car. The tree's always win as well.

Judging by those pictures the driver must have been doing quite a whack, considering its also 15 mph speed limit. Then again guess it doesn't take long to get to from "not going fast" to "veryveryvery fast" in a car like that, I'm guessing that even lifting off a clutch too fast can result in these kind of crashes. It just not a car build for less than expert drivers. Certainly not the car you want to make a mistake in, that's for sure.

I think the carrera gt has something crazy like out of 1270 made 60-80 ish have been crashed. Even the Stig at the top gear race track kept spinning it apparently.

As was probably mentioned earlier in the thread you don't need to crash those cars (that specific model) at very high speed to do a lot of damage to them :S not many people like them due to that aspect.

15 mph was suggested speed for turn overs, normal speed is 35-45mph....driver must have speeding way over 60+.

Yeah, they're pretty tricky by all accounts. Lewis Hamilton's dad also put one through a hedge.

Paul Walker seemed like a really decent guy. What a bloody shame... :(

From the damage ( barring some sort of freak fire) he was going pretty damn fast. Although i suppose we dont know if it was in two pieces due to the fire brigade cutting them out or if it had wrapped itself around the lampost like that on impact.

RIP, not many people like the films but he was a good actor :( guess they will stop fast and furious now, if they don't then they're stupid.

RIP Mr Walker.
I'm struggling to believe it.
I had to check IMDB to see if this thread was a hoax.

F+F probably will continue.
Why? Because of the money which can be earned from it. The last movie earned $238,673,370, at the US box office alone.

You wouldn't shut down a highly profitable product line, just because a key staff member dies...would you?

Now, had he died on set...this might've been a different story.

No doubt everybody involved in those movies, will say, "Paul would've wanted us to continue. So we will".

RIP :( not good, looking at the pictures that must have been doing some speed, you dont get wrecks like that from doing the norm on the road

Such a shame

Wonder if they'll consider CGI to finish F&F7.

Not sure how they'd handle the rest of the movie apart from scratching out PW's scenes and starting again.

They probably will, I doubt they'd kill him off. They'd probably have a scene where he wants to opt out to raise his child he had in the last film with his family.

I still can't believe it, the guy was a great guy. Never heard a bad thing about him, and he was a true petrol head.

Really sad. :(

shame yet another example of YouTube culture where capturing a ****ing video is more important than trying to help someone who may have still been alive.

Sadly seems to be the way the world is going :( that said have you ever tried to get close to a car that is that much alight? (I have - fortunatly never been in a position where I've needed to try and get someone out - the heat tends to be somewhat unbearable even for a few seconds).

Having watched the video looks like a higher speed crash than I'd thought from the pictures the debris are spread out quite a bit even for a car thats known to come apart in a collision.
