out of all the free games im only really enjoying war thunder and resogun.

need to still try contrast and warframe though.

dc universe is poo unless your into WOW type games. that fps is okay if you don't have any other fps game, but it feels really basic and clunky. the map i played on was awful as well, i hope they arent all like that. when I get BF4 it will be deleted just like DC universe.

war thunder though has been amazing probably the best out of the lot. it is complicated at first but as you get to grips with the fact there are different factions and research you need to do, etc it gets better and better.

i have went Britain to get the Spitfire, no doubt they have made the US planes better than all the rest though (im assuming the game is made by yanks). it's going to take a lot of time to get it and upgrade it all, but im enjoying the dogfights.

it basically deploys you into a random multiplayer game where you get 2 lifes, you have to destroy enemy planes or targets on the ground. i tend to go for enemy planes although targets on the ground are easier, you end up getting shot to pieces if your not moving erratically.

i am using the simplified controls for now, i imagine the advanced controls are a lot better. has anyone tried them? it's probably best i switch sooner than later before i get too used to basic controls.

resogun is basically space invaders meets 2013, brilliant game if you just want to chill out and plat.

what is warframe all about? anyone tried that yet? what type of game is it similar too?

But XBL is now a family style service so if you have Gold everyone else on the console has Gold. Remove your account off it and your wifes account would have very limited access to XBL apps/services (just Project Spark and?...)

They've taken a note out of Microsoft's book there. Essentially locking down the console, unless you're on PS+ or Xbox Live.

I'm a subscriber so not the end of the world for me. I like looking forward to seeing what free games i'm getting every month.

They not free games at all, with PS+ you simply renting them your PS+ ends so do them games.

You get more "lives" if you hire more crew and give them more planes ;)

Technically they aren't free, no. They do feel like they are free, however, when you subscribe to PS+ and have no intentions of cancelling said subscription!
I think that was what the previous poster was trying to get across :)
 
i can spend a hell of a lot more than £30 in one night out on the town with mates drinking and eating wake up in the morning and feel like utter **** and not remember a thing, am more than happy to pay for a PSN sub with the amount of games Sony give us
 
All these packs that have come out, are they launch packs or will they still be out after xmas?

I dont think they do the one I want. Console, 1 pad and AC4 :(
 
I'm loving AC4. I'm amazed how well the PS4 runs the game. It's by far the best version having played it on PC and Xbox One the PS4 version runs so much smoother and has all the visuals.

It's a great game.

Those arguing between definition of free or renting.. Tbh all games lose their value at some point anyway, so really it's just a cheap way to experience a load of games, it's good as some of the games are would not normally try, but because their on PS+ I give them a shot and most are decent. I love the fact it covers all of Sony's consoles as well, every month get new Vita, PS3 and PS4 games, and just one membership covers the whole family. PS+ is awesome imho.

But how can that be? According to all the PC fans you shouldn't waste your money on a PS4 because it's rubbish in comparison and a PC is superior :p

I was running a decent spec Pc as well. 4770k & 780 GTX but it is much smoother on the PS4 and still has all the visual goodness of the PC version.

Just programmed for consoles better I suppose.

Yep. I'm surprised by how much I like it, probably the best AC yet and it looks stunning especially during storms.

If you was to run the game at higher resolution than 1080p or on a 120hz monitor PC version is the better version. But like said above the PC version is just plain badly optimized and runs like crap.

It's a Ubi game they dont care one bit about PC gamer's.

And to other's about Ps+ I have nothing wrong with it and think it is a good deal, I was just pointing out the games are not free.
 
I switched from 1080p to 1440p on my PC a while ago and didn't notice a huge difference, it was mainly just the size difference that I was happy with rather than an improve in picture quality although there was a slight improvement.
