*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Just upgrading my 2nd PS4 and it fails at the initialization stage, Error Cannot initialize CE-33567-4

Exactly the same model HDD as my other PS4, and the only thing on the net relating to this error is some fella saying he swapped his HD and it fixed his error. :(

I guess :( brand new one too. I'll just put the original back in and RMA this one. This PS4 is going back in its box for Christmas though, so not the end of the world.. Just annoying, that i unpacked it to set it all up on the new HD.

ugh how annoying. You can't just re-install the old HD, after trying to swap the HDD. It's asking me to initialize everything again.. What a pain up the butt.

Luckily i only have three digital games i suppose. Even so. ANNOYED.

If you're having poor connection problems have your considered buying a Wifi range extender? Best thing I done to be honest as I have my consoles hooked up in a converted garage and they kept cutting out a lot.

Maybe something to consider, although as you say your PS3 is fine.
 
Am i right in thinking you cant get a stereo headset with mic that plugs in to the controller

and you get game audio and voice on it ?
 
I'm thinking of trading in Madden 25 and maybe Knack at CEX. Can get £32 each for them. I got them originally because they I was pretty much forced to by GAME, but now I have FIFA 14, I don't think I'll have the time to play Madden. Might try and blast through Knack on Easy this weekend just to complete it, and then trade it in. I have yet to make a good start on Killzone too.

Shame there's no other decent games I'm interested though. Have already played AC, BF4 and CoD on the PC, while I can borrow NBA 2K14 from my mate.

But yes, Resogun is a good game to platinum. Had me pulling my hair out last night just trying to do the last level on Experienced. God knows how I'll manage Veteran :(

I always test electrical items before Christmas, 2 years ago had to RMA a DOA laptop that was a gift for my children, extremely glad I ordered it in plenty of time and got the replacement through (and tested) a few weeks before the big day!

if the goods were guaranteed to be working then I agree with you but the failure rate is too high to ignore.
 
I have my PS+ subscription ready to go. I've got Lego Marvel and Injustice sat on a shelf (would've had AC4 as well if it'd been in stock). What don't I have? Still don't have my PS4. Come on Amazon, pull your finger out!
 
Has anyone here downloaded Blacklight Retribution and played it much?

On the main menu, in the bottom right corner, it has a little 'Downloading' bar, like it is still downloading parts of the game, even though I downloaded it all through the ps store + the update.

Anyone know what it is downloading?

I'm thinking ShopTo will be the way to go now, I was just going to try my luck every couple of days in the supermarkets but it doesn't look like that will be successful. :(

Two things I should point out. When you d/l the update from Sony, make sure you get the full 800mb system software and not the 300mb update only. It had me pulling my hair out, saying this update file couldn't be used.

Also make sure you have a flash drive that actually fits on the USB slots. Most of mine didn't, i finally found one, but its one of those tiny ones and its not easy to pull out afterwards !! sore fingers.

Time to sell it and get and XBone then? And after all that effort you put into ****ging the XBone off in the thread.
 
I'm really enjoying Knack, about 5 hours in, have you given it a chance?
