So im 25, and usually can handle my drink well, but recently everytime I have been out drinking I start feeling sick towards the end of the night and usually vommit when I get home. This has happened the last 4 times now. I am one of these people that never suffers from hangovers but now if im sick the next day is a killer.

So am I getting old? Are my days of getting totally wasted and being ok over?!

I'd say you've had it easy for 25 years, it's only gonna get worse my freind!

Having suffered from the worst hangovers since I was 17 I have no sympathy, nothing worse than having to periodically vomit the day after a skinful.

Nowadays I have to take a load of RU21, drink 4-5 pints of water with electrolyte supplements and eat a meal before bed in order to not vomit the next day. I'll feel pretty bad but it won't be debilitating, what tends to happen is I feel ok after breakfast, then feel periodically more **** heading up to dinnner and only really feel human again after a couple of drinks. I don't drink much these days mind you, one or two of an evening or I'll get a skinful once, twice a month.

You're not old but it may just be a symptom of you drinking too much and your body has a problem with the amount of booze that you consume. Sounds like it's time to ease off or stop completely for a while.

Haven't been sick from drinking for about 5 years now and the quantities consumed are worryingly increasing each time. Sounds more like you're becoming a lightweight. ;)

I told my mrs that one of her twitbook friends was a hottie - she told her

Her reply was that i am old enough to be her dad - not the response i was hoping for ;)

Now that made me feel old..............and a little bit creepy :(

I dont really drink that often though, probably every 2 weeks I get drunk, but recently I have 4-5 drinks and feel awful.

Old is in your head. I'm 29, sat here with happy hardcore Dreamscape mix on as I have the day off. Today's plans extend to a haircut, meeting people from work for a pub lunch and buying some limes for 8 desperado's I have in the fridge for later before going to this 11pm-6am event

I'm cooking a roast then going down the working mens club to renew my membership, probably go to bed at 10:30 and get an early start saturday.

GET OLD! :D

I dunno, it happened to me about the same time, virtually over night.
When I was low 20s I could do 3 or 4 days no problem. Quite quickly after my 27th'ish birthday my hangover became unbearable.

But you are still consuming a lot to get drunk and you're body is telling you something. The effects of alcohol are cumulative and this could be a warning sign that your liver needs a break. Not wanting to turn this into a medical thread but maybe even a visit to your doctor is in order.

keep it up, eventually your body will get used to the volumes of alcohol you're drinking and all hangovers will disappear. In fact studies* have shown that the body learns to break down alcoholic contents of beer/spirits into nutritional goodness.

Firstly getting wasted is such a waste of money, time and bad for your health.

And it's not about getting old, it's about starting to be more responsible with your drinking.

If anything it is your body telling you to cut down.
