My mum bought a VAX steam floor mop today for £60 but we're taking it back as she prefers one that also incorporates a handheld for steam cleaning other surfaces as well. Her budget is up to £80. Thinking of getting this VAX machine instead,

Does anyone know if it's worth buying? Most reviews seem good, and a few that say the handheld is ok but a bit heavy. 1600w and ready to use in 20 to 30 seconds with 15 minutes steam usage before refilling the tank. I can order one for her on the bay for £67.99.

I bought the wife the X5 that you see on those infomercials. Robert Dyas stock them. It gets used every other day and after a year it's still going strong.

You don't need to spend as much we have http://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Pro...2254225|rnd:4460550641417669847|dvc:m|adp:1o1 and it's fine, vax replaced it about a month from ythe warranty expiring, they just sent us a new one sfter a phone call. The standard fabric heads are rubbish we bought a better one and it's been great.

I think that's the same model we're taking back to Robert Dyas, it doesn't have a handheld attachment.

X5 is £100 in Dyas. Is yours the H20 X5? I'm reading bad reviews on it. What about this one, it's a good price. I think it's an X5.
