433 with false 9 if you like so build up play, critical point being if you go 1 down don't try and rush the play otherwise your CF and CM's don't have time to catch up withplay
 
I wasnt a fan of the 433 false 9 just felt weak defensively and weirdly empty in the midfield that diagonal through ball to the wingers is filthy though as it practically works every time not tried 4231 this year mightbe worth a shout but not a fan of 1 striker unless it's someone like Ibra.

I've made 4 prem teams with all diff formations to try tomorrow but the one I always go back to is 4222 this year seems solid to me.
 
4 years of playing FUT and they still havent put in 4132 :p

Cheers for the advice guys, need to save up 100k before I invest in my first team - Serie A looks like a cheap league and I have to do my French team. With formations gone it seems vaguely sensible to make subs for both teams so you can try out multiple formations without trouble.

I'm quite enjoying 4-3-3. Score more goals but do concede a fair few playing with it though.

4-2-3-1, couple games in with this one but feels more solid than 4-3-3 but lacking for me to begin with in terms of chance creation.
 
I don't know how this game plays on ps4 but on ps3 you need more than one up front to pull defenders apart or out of position.

So anything with two up front is good, three is even better if you use the right work rates for your full backs and midfield so you aren't left short at the back.

So I liked formations with two up top, just far easier to score with and defend with.

Ideally you want a cdm too preferably two.

Therefore 41212, 4222 and 442 (2) are all solid formations all round.

Don't get on with 433 because I play too directly and try to force things than play keep ball. As soon as I get the ball I'm looking to score within 5-10 seconds no messing about
 
I like playing with two quite defensive minded or technical midfielders, which is why I previously played 4-2-3-1.

I've tried 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 but haven't quite struck gold yet, although I've only just returned to FIFA since long before the summer so I'm very out of practise and I'm more often than not being completely dominated and beaten.

I just can not defend, my two central defenders aren't working. Is there anyway to see your Ultimate team without being on the console?

I haven't but surely there are much much better options for that role, his heading and pace won't be as effective.

His passing isn't good enough for a CAM even though it's brilliant for a striker (77 passing).

I doubt his longshots are better than most decent CAM's.

Only his dribbling really then would be better than some other options.


Rooney on the other hand would suit the conversion a lot better. But with there being an abundance of decent middle CAM's in the BPL, I don't think there is much point; Silva, Mata, Oscar, Ozil, Nasri, Cazorla, Gerrard, Yaya, Eriksen, De Bruyne, etc, etc.

Plus with Jovetic being one of the best strikers in the game, playing him at CAM would be a huge waste.
 
I'm going to try 4321 out. I was put off earlier because a lot of people seemed to think it wasn't that good. But I miss the formation, loved it loads in 13.

Reus - IF Lewandowski - Robben

GO FORTH MY 3 forwards and score ! What's with Robben's price though he has skyrocketed :eek: glad he was the like the only expensive player I kept when I did a sell my entire club of players. Made a loss having to buy Reus and a few others :( but meh. Bunda has always been one of my fav leagues. IF Lew's stats look amazingly boosted compared to his NIF so figured I’d give him a go.

Hated him as a striker and thought he may suit cam as hes a pretty deep player, i have Nasri and hes good but wondered if there were better for the long shots etc Mata, Nasri etc are all pretty poor Rooney looks good and it a potential signing due to good passing and shots etc but lacks pace. Ozil doesnt look very good especially with only 2* weak foot i play Yaya at CDM and Oscar is my other substitute CAM and is average at best. Silva looks beast but expensive.

Honestly try Gerrard, he's really cheap and his longshots are insane, his passing is also brilliant and he has great defensive stats making him a physical presence which you need in this new fifa.

He is slow, but I found him really good for that position as pace doesn't matter so much in the middle of the park

or Fernandinho he is wayyyyyyyyyy underrated, he's been one of my best players in wide CAM

Have to agree with Fernandinho, him and Nasri have been great in midfield for me.
 
I swapped out Boetang and Howedes for Hummels and Dante (both with Shadow). Has bit into my Kompany fund a bit but think it's well worth the 10k.

I've built a Ligue 1 silver team with Anthony le Tallec at false 9. As a Liverpool fan I feel dirty :o

Plays well though - just beat a Bundesliga team with Robben, Ribery, Neuer, Lahm, Lewandowski etc 3-0 :D
