Been driving for 3 and half years and today had my first road rage encounter. I crossed the lane, with my indicator on, and the driver I went in front of went mental and started mashing his horn. Driver came right up behind me with high beams on and started mashing the horn again. So I switched lane and Driver over took me then crossed back to be in front of me. I was suspicious at this point Driver was going to do something mental so I slowed down, and sure enough Driver slammed brakes on, so I braked and Driver took off. I crossed lane again and further up the road I could see that Driver crossed to the same lane, so I switched back again and other cars went passed me, between me and Driver. I was weary at this point Driver was anticipating where I was going, to try and confront me, but Driver turned off into B&Q, and I went home.

You should have driven him off the road, pulled him out of his car and stamped on his face until he died. That's why I'd have done, probably pulled his wallet and found out where he lived so I could take his family out, just to be sure as he may have bred.

...or I might have simply put it down to one of those things, laughed about it and moved on. The world is full of turd heads.

Did you actually check you had the space to pull out before you put your indicator on and pulled out? The way you've written it sounds like you've pulled out in front of someone and subsequently annoyed them by doing so.

I've had people do this to me to recently, thoroughly annoying, you're approaching to pass them in the lane to their right and then suddenly INDICATE PULL OUT as if having the indicator on gives them carte blanche to do whatever they want without actually checking where they're pulling out into.

"Listen pal, you better call the ambulance now. Because in two minutes, you'll be picking up your teeth with your broken arm"

Even if the OP did what you're suggesting, the reaction of the other driver was moronic.

As they say, never argue with an idiot, they'll wear you down and beat you on experience.

OP, chalk it down to experience and move on.

"Hey I think what you did was dangerous so I am going to lose my temper and tailgate you" GENIUS.

Had a few of these, I just laugh it off now.

I had an altercation with a motorcyclist not so long back, he had a very high self worth to say the least. Wish I'd had a dash cam!

He'd over taken me, given me the ****** sign; so I gave him a wave and he turned round and followed me in :p

Should have stand and banged ;)

I bet you didn't do MSMM though. I should say around 75% of the drivers I see on the roads these days do mirror maneuver signal. Most of them don't even look, as said up there, people seem to think signalling gives them right of way no matter what is coming. Another reason not to bother with a performance car anymore, you can be 2 cars into your home run and someone will just pull straight out on you. But as long as they signal, it's ok occifer!

See a lot of people using the indicators this way. As in 'I'm changing lane NOW, and you should move' instead of 'I intend to go this way, but only will if its safe to do so'.

It does my nut in.
