Hi guys!

I`m in progress of building my desktop and all parts I have chosen but now that I look at my future graphics card:

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3x OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-N770OC-2GD)

and when I look at all of those options of brands with different types of cooling, overclock potentials i got little confused because I really want the best one.

What shold choose?

MSI? Gainward? Gigabyte? Inno3D? EVGA?

GTX 770 4GB or 780 2GB?

GTX 770 with more core/clock speed than GTX 780? or GTX 780 with less speeds?

Which cooling is best?

There are so many options that I really got confused.

In my opinion this one would be best:

Card will be used for gaming most with i7 4770K CPU, 8GB 2400Mhz ram, Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 mobo, Seasonic 860w '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply and Corsair Carbide 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case.

What I want from my card is a lot of oc potential; efficient, powerful and possibly silent cooling already on it.

Thanks!

If I was you I would wait a few weeks for AMD to release their new cards. Even if you don't want AMD, there are NVidia price drops on the horizon + a few new cards.

OFC I will do so because I can`t even buy it now. (it`ll be around beginning of 2014.)

But what about the question?

I mean at the moment right now which one would be best.

Am i right with the one I have linked in?

Without being classed as a bringer of bad news first of all, better to reconsider anything at 2GB VRAM or below. It will just cripple a fine GPU.

The Evga GTX770 with 4GB VRAM while might be absolutely stunning card and performance, is way more expensive than 2 7950s, and significantly more expensive than a 7950 Ghz edition, which is in par.

Personally I would prefer the MSI Geforce GTX 770 Gaming Edition 4096MB, because is significantly cheaper and still a nice card (if you want to stick to Nvidia).

However, if I had £420 to splash on a new card, I could have waited for the R9 290X, or any better Nvidia offerings.

ermmmm the 3GB brand (the only amount available). And look for a good name like Gigabyte EVGA (my fav) or MSI.

Holy moly that`s right i know, that`s how confused I am now.

Alright so please do tell me.

Which one will get more FPS in Crysis 3 let`s say:

or

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-227-EA.

The 770 seem to have way more Core Base Clock, Core Boost Clock and Memory Clock.

I guess that`s what matters the most?
I might be wrong...

But 780`s at GK110 GPU. Is that this much of a difference at FPS?

So which one of those 2?

780s generally get to 1200 MHz on the core and 1700+ on the memory. At that clock speed you're looking at a good deal faster than an overclocked 770.

The 780 is dead expensive though and 770 is better VFM. AMD offer even better VFM if you're going down that route.

I would also suggest EVGA. i havent had one myself, but numerous number of my friends have them and they are really happy with it. specially the 780 superclocked one. People at anandtech say that it's almost as fast as a Titan.

but if money is an issue, i would get the 770 or the 680 even.
