***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

How playable is this?

I know people have been desperate for it, so there will be a lot of 'positives' that could be over excitement atm

So based on the fact that i enjoyed the mod with a mate and the main issue we had was cheaters - everything else was fine and enjoyable, is this game at this stage worthy of a purchase?

I know it wont get cheaper, but at the same time, I dont want to put 20 down if its going to sit there for 3-6 months. I enjoyed the survival not knowing what is out there aspect... the scavenging to get bits and build cars etc.... the desperation of surviving when hit or being chased.... the thrill of meeting other people and ******** yourself etc :D

Im not expecting miracles, just something we can load up.. play for 3-5 hours straight and come out of it thinking, Id like more of that.
 
youll be fine. buy it now while cheap. every server is close to capacity of players. just murdered my first person with dun dun dahhhh a axe :D

got all his gear nice bag gas mask trainers blood bag thing food :cool:

I'll simplify it for you,

I think on Friday, when Rocket did a stream, Sacriel asked about Combat loggers, where Dean responded, we're working on a feature where if you log during combat, you get time added to when you can rejoin the game, so lets say a 20 second wait time, everytime you keep Combat logging a multiplier is then introduced, so imagine your wait time is now something like 20s x4.

So basically....Don't combat log unless you want to wait a long time to join a server...

Hope that's a little more understandable,

thats it in a nutshell. so if you do it often youll be waiting along time to get in and it stops ghosting people on different servers ;)

Any of the OCUK groups want to take an official bambi out for his first Dayz run over xmas... I will be buying teh game Friday after work when I break up.

Wait DG was still trying to pretend to be ITK :D? As in like when he tried to say SA would be out latest April this year :D?

What happened your forums in your sig DG? They always gave me a chuckle
 
Does anyone know how health system works on it is it just eating food to restore or slow regen when it says my wounds feel better
