Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

"from it", nope, participating in a stress test doesn't guarantee you'll have closed beta access, but doesn't exclude you from having the same chances as other people
From my understanding if you got a stress test and logged in on any of the Saturdays, you will at some time definitely get into beta.

Nope. :<

That was the case during CBT1/2 but not anymore, stress testing has zero impact on full beta access chances

And bugger... I don't know if I will get time to try and log in on Saturday... How long do the stress tests last? I can possibly try for an hour or so before I leave on a 2 hour errand on the bike.

Jealous of you lot :p

Hopefully I at least get a stress test key soon, really want to try this. Looks like an improvement from most other MMOs.

Yeah, it's cool to have at least a stress test key, sucks to not have full beta access though, especially when it's the only game you're actually interested in. I've been signed up for the beta for just under a year now, filled out the survey the day it was released, entered every competition/giveaway I've seen, which has been me googling and f5'ing reddits and whatnot for days and days and days straight

Find it very odd that I don't know anyone playing in this beta, loss of mmo contacts I suppose!

Eventually though, eh :p

Meh, screw it. Been waiting for some kind of beta key since the start. Lost interest now.

I have had beta since CBT2 and I have lost interest. But that's mostly due to one of my mates going on and on and on about it, all the time, like it's going to be best thing since sliced bread (it is not).

Played last night. Playability was much improved compared to the previous stress test, pretty much completely lag free. Combat became possible, and the combat is pretty sweet for an MMO. It's very fluid, feels as though it's what GW2 could've been, combat wise. I'm pretty impressed in that respect.

As for the quests they were pretty uninspired, then again I'm very low level. I'm not one for lore mind so I can't comment on the story really.

I'm looking forward to the PVP considering the combat, should be great fun, same for raids. The double jump and dash are very well executed. The engine seems pretty solid.

Early impressions are overall pretty good, I'll almost certainly be buying it. Nothing I've seen is revolutionary, it's definitely standing on the shoulders of giants, or pandas ;). That's to be expected though considering what I've heard about the dev team. No doubt it's different enough to be fresh though.

Managed to play lag free last night which was good.

Picked up the Esper which was fun, nice combat and some great abilities. Wanted to try the Spellslinger and Stalker but bed was calling. Will try them this evening.

Still not sure about the art style they have chosen. I like it and I don't like it , if that makes sense :p

I think they need work on the UI too not a big fan but that's just my opinion. As somebody has mentioned here before, I'm sure there will be some add-ons to change the UI.

Still a long way to go to get a proper feel for the game but so far its fun.

Kinda sucks but I edited such paragraphs of playing the stress test last night ^ or rather this morning because they're pretty damn strict on the NDA, it'd be nice to be able to share such stories of the stress test but just a warning that you may want to edit those out :/
