Was about to post this exact same thing. I just don't understand.

Here in Morocco, supermarket staff, almost all of whom are Muslims, sell alcohol and pork products. As they are packaged so they don't come into direct contact with the product, they have no problem handling them. They would never think of embarrassing a customer simply because they do not eat or drink the product being purchased. If a Muslim country can do this, I am struggling to understand why M&S is creating a distinction that is ultimately divisive, and it should not be encouraged in a liberal society.
Another small step along the road to islamification of this country.
When will people say enough's enough?
Unless it's a product that carries an age restriction everyone should be allowed to buy whatever they want wherever they shop.
That staff will just decline to sell it and another staff will make the transaction - Seems simple enough?
I do the majority my food shipping at M&S and never have I been refused to be served by a Muslim or Jewish (and although how would you know they were either unless explicitly told, I am pretty sure that I have at some point been served by one or the other or both) checkout person.
In fact I have always received exemplary service and exemplary products and will continue to shop there until or if that changes. A story in a tabloid isn't going to influence how I shop tbh.
