2013 - how was it for you?

Considering that those are 3 of the 5 places I've ever lived (well, Tainan, but close enough), and I spent 6 months this year in Farnborough, I can't quite believe I've not run in to you :p
Taipei and Tainan are opposite ends! :p Oh and I moved away from Farnborough about 4 months ago :)

Was pretty good overall...

Some ups, for example got together with my girlfriend.

Some downs, my dog died just over a week ago :(

But overall I am ending the year in a good place and all being well have a new job lined up in the new year :)

Pros: moved jobs and earn a bit more, have better prospects and spend an hour less commuting every day. Drove a supercar and realised I still have a bit of an adrenaline junky in me. Have been getting treatment for my anxiety which seems to be helping a bit.

Cons: anxiety and depression has been very bad this year, and has really prevented me from doing a lot of things. I only realised quite how small my life had become as a result of it when looking at it in treatment. But I'm working on it because **** giving up!

That is pretty much what has killed my year.

Generally been a very good year for me. Better than 2012 and 2011 which were quite rubbish.

Started the year with a new permanent job, came into a bit of money, went to France, went to Turkey for two weeks round the West coast, went to my best friend's wedding which was excellent, started learning a new instrument, had a very good appraisal at work with a high chance for promotion, completed my first half marathon in under two hours, wife's business started flourishing and celebrated our first wedding anniversary.

There were other musical highlights but I'll keep those separate. Would have liked to have watched more films and played more games, but writing and other such commitments took those over.

All in all, pretty good.

There were low points, of course, but when I look back at the year those are the things I generally remember.

Fantastic. Went to Australia, and California, cost me pretty much nothing.

Enjoyed most of the year, but next year is going to be a new car and house year for me. :)

Pros:
Left my job of 7 years for less paid one but I really like it.
Know what I want to do with my life now and will be going back to college in 2014.
Learning the piano.
Bought a PS4 and Wii U

Cons:
Got to wait till September 2014 to start college, that's ages away:(
Nothings changed in personal life, its just a tad boring.

2013 has been a great year, with a slight downer at the end.

Good points: The birth of my first child (a daughter), finding out that my partner is pregnant with our second (sex unknown), graduated from University with a first and started a job which I really enjoy at a company I like a lot.

Slight downer: Moving house (rented) in later November only to realise that the heating is no where near sufficient; this has lead on to environmental health saying it is inhabilitible and so I will be moving again at the end of this month into my sister in laws house.

2013 has been great. Went traveling around Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Dubai. Upgraded my PC after 4 years, got myself some new consoles, 2DS, PS4 and Xbox One.

Going traveling round 8 countries in Europe next year, hoping to pass a few Windows 8 exams. Roll on 2014!! :)

Started the year recuperating from a heart attack, ended the year back in hospital with another one. Lost the dog in March. So not the best of years..

2013 was a year of leisure. I had to sit out a lengthy notice period and then a set of scandalous non-compete clauses, meaning that I've not done a day of paid work in the last 12 months.

Been an ok year. Had some great trips - San Fran and wine country, Glastonbury was excellent and saw some friends get married abroad. Saw a lot of the country through away football trips... Although Saturday night on your own in Hartlepool isn't anything to get too excited about! Additionally I've started exercising regularly for the first time in my adult life, but have managed to put on a fair bit of weight on account of my lack of general movement...

Lived with a girl for the first time, an eye-opening experience (for her more than me I imagine). However, the rising house prices in London have meant I'm probably financially flat on the year. All in all it's been a pretty relaxing 12 months.

2013 has been pretty good!

*New job with a 20% pay leap (and the previous job wasn't paying too badly either!)
*New job with major job prospects if I play it right. I could be made manager if I play it right.

Everything also is the same but that's a good thing and no major bad things happening. 2011 and 2012 nothing interesting happened to be honest and were very mediocre.

2014 is shaping up to be an even better year if I play my cards right

Pretty good.

New job.
New car.
Still debt free.
A handful of great holidays (Malaysia being a highlight).
Good health.
All is well with my family and friends.

A lot to be thankful for really.
