***The Official Battlefield 4 Thread***

I just generally find the Battlelog slow and pretty pants tbh.

I did however discover the fun of landmines as an Engineer last night :D

You want to try out M2 slams then, they are amazing, run up to a tank chuck some on, and wait, a few seconds later, BOOOOOOOOM driver wont even realise

Can also be deployed in shallow water and can be used for jihad jeeps, much more fun than C4.

This is such a great game, but the crashes to the dashboard make it hard for me to buy premium.

So frustrating doing well then boom, out the game, also is there a way to edit my classes before going into a game? It's such a faff messing with the load outs whilst everyone else goes off to get points.

I think you can set everything for your soldier and vehicles on battlelog under loadout. No idea if it works though! :)

XB1's Party/invite system is rubbish. A massive step back from the 360.

BF4's party system is rubbish as well. It's a massive step back from every shooter over the last 10 years. My first ever online shooter was Gears and even in that game you could all get into a lobby before starting a game.

Yeah bf3 was poor as well. Hopefully they'll sort it for the next release.

I'll finally finish visiting various family members over tbe xmas period today so I'll be back online for some bf4 ps4 action tomorrow. Not played since xmas eve...having withdrawal symptoms

Gears of war and COD have less players though. It's a lot easier to get a party of 6 in a game together when 6 is your whole team and you just need to find some opponents.

In battlefield you need more players so need to find a server with players on, but enough room for a squad of 5, but not 5 v 5 otherwise it becomes 10 v 5 which would be too one sided and not fun for anybody on the other team.

BF3 got around this by splitting the squad up so it became 8 v 7 but that caused complaints as well

I'm not surprised. Skill is heavily geared towards kills per minute and score per minute, both of which you'll do well in playing almost exclusively domination.

Stop trying to taint my awesomeness :p I prefer the constant action of domination. I don't want to have to drive for 5 minutes just to get to a flag.

Don't have much problem with the BF4 party system, normally end up with the party being split between teams but that's to be expected, normally we are all on the same team by the end of the round or the next map.

The only thing I miss about setting up squads is where we used to be able to all get into a squad on the main menu and then join the server, however, I do find the new way works just as fine where it pops up if you're all in a party together. Then just team swap if you need to to get on to the same side.

Playing a bit of commander this morning but the squad leaders never follow orders, doubt I'll ever get the ribbons and medals from it.

We had some good games the other night on conquest defending flags for practically an entire game (think it was the Zavod map), setting up a mine field with slam mines everywhere!
