I'm aware of a smallish 4 page thread on the Hudl in the Mobile Phones section of the boards HERE but it appears to have been created simply to discuss the Hudl and it's aspects when it was first revealed. Given that there has been a shed load of these things sold, would it be an idea to have a thread to discuss the Hudl, it's features, recommended apps, tips and tricks and any issues that owners have had with them? I only make this observation because there surely must be quite a few folk here who own one. I just purchased one today and so far I'm very impressed although I'm an iOS user mainly and this is my first ever Android device, so I'm on a bit of a learning curve.

One question I've got is regarding the email client it has built in, I've set up my POP3 email address and it's downloaded a fair amount of my email, many of which I'd like to simply delete from the device. There doesn't appear to be a way to 'Select All' email and tick the lot then delete it, or am I missing something?

Got one for xmas from the mrs, first impressions were good, but the touch screen keeps becoming unresponsive (have to put into standby and unlock again for it to continue working!!) And its becoming irritating to the point I'm going to return it.

Anyone else had this issue and is it likely a software or hardware fault? I've done the usual factory restore etc... but the problem persists.

Got it replaced yesterday, was another guy there getting a replacement for the same fault, woman in tesco said it was a bad batch effected by an ota update to 4.2.2.

New units should come ready kitted out to 4.2.2 and work flawlessly - as my replacement unit does.

Overall very impressed for a cheap tablet, does everything I want of it :)

I'm going to take back the 2nd Hudl replacement , 1st was unresponsive screen as above and 2nd crackling speaks

Think I'll get a refund and go for Nexus 7

was going to go for a hudl but read a few reviews and most said they had one prob or another

didnt even think i would need a tab but i decided to go to the big warehouse that sells phones

they are doing the older nexus for 99 quid and i am really impressed with it no slowdown or anything and better than the lads 79 pound galaxy tab 3 from the same place

I got a Hudl last November and in general I've found it pretty decent for the price. In my case I had some Tesco Clubcard vouchers anyway that got doubled up so it only cost me £30 on top of them.
My wife and I both already have Android phones (One X and a Nexus 4) so it was very easy to setup our 2 accounts on it. It does sometimes struggle a bit when both accounts have a few things running but it's fine for general web browsing, some light gaming and watching videos from the sd card.
My only real issue with it is that the screen isn't that responsive, I haven't had the total failures like the above posters but it does often miss gentle taps that my phone would pick up fine leading to a few double taps needed to get it to notice.

Yeah it has the full Play store, I have got Netflix installed, I've only used it a couple of times but it's been fine when I did.
