*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

So, after picking one of these up a few days ago, I must say, wow, I love Nintendo. The games are just SO much fun.

Pikmin 3 is much harder than I imagined!

Are downloaded games still heavily restricted? In that, once paid for and downloaded, that's it. No option to re-download for free if the console died.

Picked up Wonderful 101 and Rayman legends today, Rayman is great and easily the best in the series so far, only cost me £15. However I may have made a mistake with 101, seems a little bit too crazy and don't like the way you have to keep switching back to the game pad screen. Think it may end up on mm.

Still loving my Wii U and can't wait for the next batch of Nintendo games :)

Don't draw using the gamepad - learn to draw using the right stick - faster, easier - you won't need to look down.

Gutted I missed this for £15 at Tesco...also missed the last copy of Zelda at my local Blockbuster for £20 (another guy took it whilst I was thinking about it in the shop as the price was meant to be higher!)
Not had the best luck really!

Can't complain at Rayman for £11 after points, quidco etc though!

I really do hope with the fact the Wii U is more powerful than some initially expected becoming more apparent, and the cost of the other next gen systems, the userbase vastly swells, as that'll mean more game sales and better prices for all of us! There are some good deals on a few games, but some are staying a high prices consistantly which is certainly not in our interest! haha

Been catching up with Zelda Wind Waker over the hols.

Last night I got to the bit where I "met" Zelda for the first time.

WOW.

Joined the Wii U club too at Christmas thanks to Mrs McB - have acquired the Marios, and then raided CEX for WW HD, Wonderful 101 and Nintendoland, just keeping an eye open for Pikmin 3 or Lego City on the cheap. Have had no time to play properly yet though but looking forward to some quiet nights in with it. The Pro Pad is excellent, glad I picked one of those up off HUKD.
