Do many of you use Downsampling for games?

Just set my resolution for 4K and it held for a bit before going to a black screen and then coming back, so not stable at that res.

Was that on your 1440 or 1080 monitor greg? As I've been reading you can become bandwidth limited if you down sample to 1080 120hz.

1080p i will try on the 1440 but there is resolutions just below 4K that are pretty stable.

Damn you nvidia guys lol. Nothing iv tryed on AMD has worked. I guess i could back to a much earlier driver but then id be missing out on frame pacing ect.

Got myself a nice 3200 x 1800 res on my 1080P @ 60Hz and turned my 1440P to a nice 1600P res (but pants with anything more).

Just set AA mode in CCC to super sample along with Enhance' and bobs your uncle

3200x1800 holds in desktop test, went nuts loading a game though

Can't tell if running a game at 1440 downsampled looks better or blurry, may be down to the 60-120hz effect.

I think the idea is you set the resolution in game and leave the desktop 'as is'. I just ran the TR bench for fun and at almost 4K, I got

Man it looks good though.

That looks better, but looks like 1440P with SSAA though.

Of course, it is something which at the moment is broken on AMD, give it a couple of months for them to fix it and it will be the best thing since sliced bread.....
