Such a shame. TNT will probably get quite a bit of stick over it but i suppose if it wasn't for them the show would have been gone after season 1.

Well John was either dead or finished as a cop and the actor that plays Ben Sherman had left. So the core was finished tbh. This is not a surprise

Now that season five finale was series finale, I think it works pretty well as an end to the whole thing.

Is that a problem though? It's always been a show which has a sense that there's more to the character's beyond what we see on screen. Some series do that quite well, others don't. This is certainly a case of the former and I like that it has been left open but not annoyingly so.

I only watched Band of Brothers the other day and realised this shows main star was in that. I watched both seasons, well what was left of the 5th and have to say it's one of the finest, grittiest shows out there. Well worth a watch and gutted they closed it down !
