I'm starting to lose my mind, I keep thinking that I must have missed something simple.

I'm running two Asus R9 290X, Crossfire enabled, non overclocked on a Gigabyte G1 Sniper 5 and in some applications only one GPU is under load.

I'm running windows 8.1, the cards are in Uber mode, ULPS disabled in Afterburner and I've got the latest drivers (non-beta).

Heaven - One GPU
Furmark - Two GPU
Battlefield 4 - One GPU
Devil May Cry - Two GPU
Valley - One GPU
Assasins Creed 4 - Two GPU
3DMark 13 - Two GPU

Anyone had similar issues? fixed similar issues? Any suggestions?

Are you in fullscreen or borderless window?
And try the latest beta drivers. My 7990 worked fine in bf4 with those.

I can run BF4 on Windows 8.1 with CrossFire 290x just fine. Actually I can run all games you mentionned with 2 x Cards.

The only issues I see is with Unigine Heaven and Valley with Trifire and QuadFire and I also have some Issue with assassin creed black flag

Be interested to see what effect Mantle has on your setup K with Battlefield 4 scaling and performance. I understand its already excellent but it would be nice to see if there are any improvements for you.
