Motorola Moto G - new budget smartphone champion?

I don't have that either, but I did before I flashed KitKat so not sure why its not there now? I'm on the us version so that's probably why?

Can't stop looking at this phone the screen is so beautiful lol
 
Kitkat downloading now for my Tesco Rom phone. Only just noticed it because I've been using My HTC one so don't know how long its been waiting :-)

I only use mine to test Android apps. I have a Windows phone as my actual phone.

Yes, I bought it to play around with for a few months while I wait for a Windows phone upgrade at the right price and specs. But my Lumia 710 is almost 2 yrs old now, so I'm likely to use the Moto G as my main phone during that time. I'll still carry the Nokia though, for example I haven't yet found a suitable replacement for the Nokia Transport app.

Mine was bought as a spare to my HTC one. With Tesco vouchers it was £30. For £99 it's a damn good phone, for what I paid its daylight robbery :-) I actually use it quite a bit, mainly for playing Ingress.
 
Since updating I can't install any more apps, getting told I have insufficient memory even though I don't. Anyone else having this problem?
 
I think these upgades will be rolled out over several days, to ease the load on their servers. So some of us have to wait...
 
Well, I've been trying Navfree on mine. Threee times it has crashed the phone - the phone just goes dead and has to be powered back on again. Not a battery level issue. It has worked OK once. So my Nokia 710 is providing Satnav duties - Nokia Drive - and comprehensive public transport info - Nokia Transport. I have a feeling I'll be buying a new Nokia Windows 8 phone in a few months time, and the Moto G will just be a spare, and for running Torque Pro when I need to.

I've never used Nokia Drive, but surely Google Maps does all of this on Android? I've just got it to plot a route to Hull on public transport for example.
 
I've convinced my 15 yr old nephew into one of these.

We bought a tesco one for £99 is it right we just get the unlock code from eBay? We have one of those free t mobile sim cards to use with some free data.

We're not bothered about roms or anything he just wants a usable phone.

What bits and bobs do I need to help him out on?

Any cool cases about?
