The "your" here doesn't mean "you", I was using a silly stock market analogy to say that a person's attraction has a larger stake in their homosexuality than their actions do.

Fancying men but never acting on that still means you are gay.
You can have a bit of a fumble with a dude out of curiosity once, and never revisit the scenario or fancy guys and not be gay.

It's quite gay tbh, whether it's the full gay I'm not sure but you definitely shouldn't be kissing your Dad on the lips :/
 
Is kissing your male friend on the lips in a platonic way gay? No. Is it considered normal behaviour in this country? No. It's certainly not something the majority of people would do. I'm a handshake/manhug person myself.

I do remember one of my best friends drunkenly kissing me once (closed mouth, no tongue FYI). It wasn't very nice, he was far too stubly for me. Give me a nice smooth female any day.

Apologies, I expected the word "you" to mean the same as the word "you". I'll make special allowances for "you" in the future.

Its not gay if youre not gay! but why? :confused: its just plain old wrong and bloody weird. Just wrong :S Why would any other male want to kiss another male on the lips if theyre not that way inclined? I class my close knitted group of friends like family, but there's no way I would ever kiss them on the lips to say hello! A normal handshake and maybe a "bro hug" would suffice.
 
It's not something I'd do as it's crossing over from friendly contact to what normally I'd reserve for intimacy (ergo unwanted when dealing with friends) - but assuming both are happy with it then who am I to judge.

I don't think it makes you gay by doing it, as others has mentioned - sexuality is far more complex than gay or straight, the reality is countless gradients in which the population is widely distributed (from what I can see) - if for you kissing on the lips isn't exclusively an intimate activity then it's perfectly reasonable for it to have no bearing on your sexuality.

Personally, I do the hand shake - back pat, with the odd hug for my closest friends & as many are Europeans from work I'm accustomed to receiving the odd cheek kiss.

Kissing a male friend on the lips is bizarre. A handshake or a manly hug is as much as any red blooded man should consider normal.

If you are not attracted to men, then perhaps you should be asking whether your friend is? Because although I can accept you're just some sort of fruit-cake who thinks this is normal masculine behaviour, the chances of there being TWO fruit cakes is slim. One of you is a batty boy.
