I always park with the car in first gear, but the missus doesn't. I've recently been driving the missus' car and have, of course, been parking it in gear. Here's the problem:
She never checks to see if the car is in gear, nor depresses the clutch resulting in the car lurching forward when she goes to start it. She then shouts at me, to which I respond that in reality, she should check it's out of gear anyway. Her answer is that she never leaves the car in gear
Anyway, back to the point - car parked up, do you leave it in gear or not?

but rarely ever park in gear, maybe if on a really steep hill....a "ya never know...just incase" thing. saying that... pretty much only on my mates drive as it's pretty damn steep and goes out onto a main road. his cars hand brake failed/slipped before and he just heard horns from outside, his car had rolled off the drive and about 20 yards down the road and was blocking the main road haha! xD
