So, running the ref 290. This happens on chrome, when on youtube either starting a video, or going to full screen, and only sometimes. It's the error code stop 0x000....01 error code. It doesn't give a reason (e.g naming the driver) and it doesn't seem to have created a dump file. I have now set it to create minidumps to be analysed in whocrashed.

I can't say this for sure, but it does seem to happen after a long period of mining, or after running a game, even several hours, just without a reboot.

Any ideas apprecieted hopefully it happens again and there is a dump file to analyse.

Do you experience the bsod's when your CPU is at stock speeds & voltages? If not give that a go? It's quite likely it's not your 290 causing this.

I experienced bsod's at idle or using chrome etc when running offset cpu voltage, I now run manual set voltage and have not had a single bsod since. Perhaps this is your issue if you are using offset cpu voltage?

One thing you could try is disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome/flash. If it still happens then you can probably rule out the 290.

I don't know how to quote two at once, so firstly, I have just a manual voltage, and have had no real problems before this card, and only recently.

Secondly, probably not, I run a pretty aggressive fan profile, up to 65+ at 90C. It rarely stays there for a long amount of time. The way I sort of imagine it being is like I stressed the memory mining or gaming too much, and it may happen until a reset. When on youtube etc, the temps are in the 50s.

Also i have never overclocked my 290. Its at stock clocks and voltages.
