Hello
Ive got a question is Corsair RM 750w power supply a good choice for about £95 or should i get a 850w one which is about £115 is it worth getting the 850w version over the 750w ?

My PC specs :

Asus z87-A
intel i5 4670k (stock speeds im thinking about overclocking soon)
Sapphire R9 280x Toxic
corsair vengeance lp 8gb 1600mhz
Noctua D14
WD blue 1TB
Cooler Master 690 III
and my current psu is: corsair cx750m which im exchanging as its making coil whine noises .
In the future im thinking about getting a SSD and maybe an additional 1-2TB hard drive and 2 extra fans.

Thank you :)

Are you thinking about Xfire?

If not a 550W-650W PSU will be perfect.. If you are a decent 750W-850W would be better.

These are my choices.

The RM's seem good but i've yet to hear a lot about them, as can be seen for £95 the 750W seems a good purchase.

The Corsair RM series are made by CWT.
The Antec High Current Gamer range are Seasonic.

That is all I will say on the matter.

guys, who manufactures the corsair CS range? are they premium like the RM or more like the cx? sorry if this is semi derailing the thread :p

OP id go with the superflower 650 if i were you, as someone noted the Antec psu is made by seasonic and would also serve you well

The Corsair CS range are GreatWall.

the corsair rm series are made by CWT = 450,550,650 and 1000
the 750 and 850 are made by Chicony Power Technology

i would go for the 650 superflower if you are not bothered about cables.
or one of these for modular
