I have the pioneer a3 in the kitchen. Works and sound really good. I was going to go for the Bose but the pioneer has a USB port and a battery giving be more options.

What's the airplay like in terms of connection reliability?

Bought a similar one of these a few months ago, I opted for 9000mAh due to heavy usage. Very good product in my experience, you won't be disappointed

I did think about a larger one but didn't want something so bulky.

This one should in theory give me around 2 extra charges and I can make it a day normally on one full charge so a total of 3 full charges should be enough.
