Antec SP1 Bluetooth speaker, pretty impressed for £29.

Google Drive is only free for 2 years? I thought they would've given life time storage if you got a Chromebook given that its basically essential.

I think it's the 100Gb free for 2 years. Not sure what happens if you go over 2 years, but haven't moved your data...

They want you to be dependant on it so you have to buy the extra space. Bit like me with dropbox if I don't sort myself out in a few days.

Supposedly you can still access anything you have there, but not add anything more without paying for the subscription...

Everyone gets 15GB free (not counting google play music), so careful management of photos is probably the way forwards!

Speakers arrived. Already got a pair so I'm good for 6.1 of Wharfedale 9.1s and SW150. Along with the STR DN1040 this should be a damn good budget setup.

Shiny new Chromebook!

Loving how quick and integrated to my google stuffs it is :)

I hope you don't mind my asking, but how much was it, what's the screen like and is the keyboard any good? :) I'm interested in getting either that or the HP Chromebook (which looks nice but I suspect is form over function) - thanks.

It was £199 from the indian restaurant.

The screen is very nice, although the viewing angles aren't the best I've ever seen but more than enough for a laptop.

The keyboard is nice to use, feels a little bit cheap but is quiet and comfortable to use. The main issue with it so far is that there are no home/end or function keys (although I haven't read the full info on what the top row of keys do, yet!).

It's quite different to a Windows laptop, but it does the things I want from a laptop (internet and simple file management/stuff) lovely and quickly.

[edit]
Realised that I should mention the trackpad, along with two finger tap/swipe, is absolutely fantastic and is one of the nicest things about using this laptop!

My monitor looks tiny on it, it really is a behemoth of a stand. What a bargain.

Thought only Amazon in the U.S did this, but the box came in a box inside a box. Thanks Amazon.
