I see but I believe my PSU (ocz 500w) is a very good PSU but yet cannot handle an R9280X on full load (OcUK currently RMAing my card) so if the card is good then I have lost my faith in PSUs ... otherwise if its just a faulty card then I'll purchase a 750
regardless though gonna get a new PSU to future proof but want to know if getting a 2nd hand PSU would be a problem? would psu brands (e.g corsair) still keep warranty if I have a bad PSU purchased from a non-authorized reseller.
As long as the PSU you is within 6mths and is decent is 2nd hand therefore a good option? Don't really see why New is always best in PSUs because they have 2-7 years of warranty on most of them and the capacitor aging wont really be affected in psu's younger than 6mths.
