I've had my gaming edition r290 cards a week now and I am having a major issue with them. When in crossfire the games feel like they are playing incredibly slowly although the frame rates reported aren't terrible and the sound is horribly distorted. Both cards work fine on their own and If seems to be an issue reported a number of times on the AMD support forums. Apparently disabling v sync can help in some cases but even so it's not a good situation to be in. It's frustrating as 1 card isn't strong enough at 1440p. Part of me wishes I had gone for the 780's instead but my 7950's had been fine so decided to stick with AMD.

Has anyone else here had this?

Try this driver instead.

Cheers for those drivers fixed it. Well apart from the issues I am having in assassins creed 3 but that just seems to be terrible ubisoft shenanigans.

Yeah I know I shouldn't. Assassin's creed is a guilty pleasure though. However this may be the last one for me. I'll just try the new drivers as they come out to when a fix comes out.
