anyone had any experience with this mob before?? i ordered stuff on wed guaranteed next day delivery however they never collected the goods till yesterday so i assumed that i would receive them today.


on the tracking webpage they have it says they will be delivered today however under the tracking info all i have is

06/02/14 18:58 Details of the consignment have been received from the consignor, but the collection Depot has yet to scan any goods.

so im assuming that the item wont be delivered today if the delivery depot hasnt received it yet/


hoping that they aint bothered to update the tracking and its out for delivery but i very much doubt iit
 
citylink are refusing to phone depot.

here is a tracking log

06/02/14 18:58 Details of the consignment have been received from the consignor, but the collection Depot has yet to scan any goods.
06/02/14 18:30 These goods have been scanned at the collection Depot and are now on route to the delivery Depot.
06/02/14 14:44 These goods have been successfully collected and are on route to the collection Depot.

which clearly states that the item has been collected and is on its way to the delivery depot however the woman on the phone reckons its never been collected from the sender
 
At least you get an update, last couple of times the tracker has shown nothing until after my parcel was delivered. Then magically it fills it all in!
 
Well they used to be great but now they have issues.. I am not sure if its because they have farmed out a load of work to man in a van types. For instance "apparently" the driver attempted to deliver our consignment at 9pm in the evening. To a business address? And funnily enough no card!

And when it was delivered there was supposed to be an additional item for our other building but the driver could not find it.. Then the next day my colleague found it leaning by the back door of our building and it had apparently been signed for.

Terrible service..

OP I thought that unless you stated a pre time (9, 10, midday) That the consignment wasn't guaranteed next day?
 
Best courier i have dealt with in NE London /Essex. Regional variations like every time someones parcel gets delayed 1 in a 1000 boo hoo etc.

subcontractors can suck no matter who they work for. If you want the best pay UPS or another mega player,
 
Couriers vary from area to area. In my rural area My Hermes or Parcel force are the best.

My Hermes has generally got an atrocious reputation but has a very reliable driver in this area. Parcel force delivers daily to a place near me so they are always on time.

The only courier I have had consistent reliable results from in all areas is UPS, but you certainly pay for the service.

Actually, the generally accepted spelling is to replace the 'C' with 'Sh'!!

Worse than Royal Fail and ParcelFarce.
That said, they *have* finally realised that leaving the package in a designated Safe Place, or with a neighbour (like most other couriers) is an acceptable alternative.

DPD used to be worse, but since I started using OCUK they seem to have become great - I get a text and email saying they will be with me between, say, 8.35 and 9.35, but the driver has always arrived about 3 minutes ahead of that window.
City Link do email me expected delivery times as well... four hours AFTER the scheduled time has passed!!

"Your package will be delivered at 10.30 this morning"
Email arriving at half three in the afternoon!!
