Not really. Psychologically speaking a child from a loving, stable family will do better than one from an unstable or unloving family. Sex of the parents isn't relevant, it's just social pressure from those who cannot accept single gender parenting.

Imagine if it turned out that the qualities a person had in being able to come out as gay were the same sorts of qualities that made them good in front of a camera and confident on TV? What a crazy idea that would be.
What do you consider disproportionate?
Simply generally intolerant, then? Unless you can defend your "natural" family arguments with anything other than made up ideas about how single-sex households affect children.
Reproduction is a function of biology. "Traditional" family groupings (married male and female parent plus children) are a function of society, entirely unrelated to the making, or healthy upbringing, of children.

Since when did the guardian become a gay newspaper? What about the snap shot you posted was gay? The rainbow? Isn't that a little bit , umm, paranoid?
Why are footballers forced to wear rainbow shoe laces? Can you provide evidence of a footballer being forced to, as opposed to choosing to, wear rainbow laces?
Why are a massively disproportinate number of people on tv loudly gay? Again, I think we need evidence on this one. It's estimated that 1 in 10 people are LGBT. Can you find evidence to suggest that there is a disproportionate number of LGBT people on TV based on that ratio?
Why is the media constantly bashing sochi using the gay bandwaggon instead of simply being honest about not liking russia? People are being assaulted, hospitalised and even killed right under the nose of the (at best) disinterested police force. This is going on at the same time as a world sporting event sold to us as unifying is going on in the country. Surely to not mention it would be negligent of broadcasters?
Why has Obama and Davey boy boycotted the Sochi olympics on gay grounds? You are fools if you believe it is because they are heroes for homosexuality. Harping on about the 'natural family' as if it is the only option is akin to 'my religion is better than yours'.
This 'natural family' as you coin it is only a recent thing in human history. In fact a more common family settings was all the ladies bringing up all the kids in a communal way, with daddy out getting other women up to duff, hunting, and getting killed. This is still the way with many modern day mammals. Monogomous 2-parent child-rearing is more common with birds than mammals.

You clearly don't know your classical history do you ? In ancient Greece, Rome, China just to name three, homosexuality was legal and accepted, normal and natural. The reason people object to it so much today, is mainly down to religion. Before the advent of Judeo Christian theology, being gay wasn't a crime or immoral or illegal. It was, as you like to say, 'natural'. So your assertion that this acceptance of being gay is a modern social event is completely false.

Nobody even uses the phrase 'politically correct' unless they are trying to excuse being a horrible bigot. Not being able to discriminate against people based on sexuality, skin colour etc. isn't 'political correctness gone mad', it's called not being complete scum.

Putin's law is only banning pro homophobic propoganda. It doesn't ban homosexuality. There is a gay club in sochi and apparently it's very busy. I think the stance is sensible, hardly what you would call 'human rights abuses'.

If anything sexual inequality is a thing for heterosexual couples in this country. On one side there is an army of pro gay media trumpeting the gay message. On the heterosexual side, there is silence.

Indeed. I think I might show this to a friend who wonders why I still 'harp on about this carp'. He forgets that the educated, tolerant social bubble we live our lives in is not the norm, as this thread shows.
