Here is what the EA says you can and can't do...

on land adjoining the water it was dredged from as long as you can deposit on that land by
mechanical means in one operation. This means that you can’t deposit onto a bank and then
move it further away by the same or another machine. Your equipment should be able to take
the dredgings from the waters and move it to that land in one move.
I just want to understand this last point...So you can pull up the matter and pop it on the river bank, but you cant then go back and move it inland? But what you can do is, pull up the matter, and take it straight to where you want it to go?Why is that?
Remember this exemption applies to contractors ie not the landowner. So say for example company X is commissioned to dredge/desilt a section of river. They are only allowed to deposit it as detailed. If the local landowner then decides to take the dredging and move it he isn't restricted as in that form.
There doesn't seem to be a sign of this getting better. Many routes are closed around Reading and the morning commute is absolute chaos. When will it end?
We've got more heavy rain tomorrow and another batch Friday night/Saturday.

Think its gonna get worse before it gets better (they were reckoning it would rise another 18 inches by the end of the week).
So it is real then! I was wondering if it was a shop or not
Don't think the visibility would be very good if I went for a dive in it![]()
What an epic **** up from our government and environment agency. It's now a PR excersise to keep votes.
