Donating for a New Mac Pro

As you may have heard, the YouTuber, David Di Franco had successfully raised money in order to buy a new Mac Pro.

Am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely disgusting? Does he need the money, no. Does he need the computer, no. Talk about first world problems. This person is an absolutely disgusting individual and he doesn't deserve any of the following he has.

Did he force people to donate? No? Then where's the problem if people want to donate that's up to them.

People like his content and they want to donate to help keep that content going. He hasn't done anything wrong.

He has probably worked very hard to get a subscriber base that is willing enough to help him out.

I presume he'll take the donation as income and claim the new Mac as a business expense. That's what I'd do.

Some of them do tend to whore themselves out a bit, but it's a personal choice if you want to endorse that kind of thing or not ... I wouldn't.
