***The Official Battlefield 4 Thread***

Yep, but what is most satisfying is when sneaky little recon guy is being clever crawling up on you to lay c4 when I just jump out the cab and shoot him in the back before he gets chance to detonate. Now that is even more fun ha ha.

Except when they realise you doing it and just get in the vehicle and kill you with it, then go and take a point and win the game for their team.

That happened to me once and it sucked. lol.

But 90% of the time someone I know is in with me. Last time we killed the same guy about 6 times in a minute as he kept spawning and trying it. What an idiot.

Yep, brilliant when one player is hell bent on vengeance. Helps my stats out no end :D

Few gg's last night cu3ed :) Shame I didn't have a headset, rectified this morning by the wife as a Valentines present. (That'll do!)

Yea, we got lucky, our squad was pretty decent for randoms!
I didnt bother with teh headset ( was a bit late to be talking about), some good even games, jsut enough for us to get comfortable wins lol.

Try the training ground first and mess about with the controls etc till you're happy, then start small.

small domination, Team death matches are good to rank up weapons and unlocks for them ( they make a BIG difference).

i wouldn't bother with the training ground unless your using vehicles tbh.

when using a sniper remember to use up on the d pad to set the range so it auto adjusts for bullet drop.

if using an RPG just aim higher when tanks are farther away and guesstimate how much it will drop.

when using machine guns use burst fire and just aim like normal (i don't account for bullet drop on them and do fine).

if you want to rank up or unlock things fast, stick to team deathmatch rather than any of the other modes.

i've not touched the single player at all, i've used the training ground twice and the first time i used it was a waste of time as i had never played the game and someone recommended but i just messed about and learned nothing new.

once you have played for 2 weeks then it would be ideal to try the training ground when you want to test something specific or learn how to use vehicles.

i stick to ground or water vehicles as they are easy to use, forget the jets and choppers unless your really good with them tbh.

Cheers for the tips. Just installing the update now (1gb).

Will be interesting to play a Battlefield game again. The main ones I played were BF2 and BF2142 on PC.

Really don't know where to start with this. Went on for about 15 mins earlier but came off as I kept getting shot constantly. :p

Not sure what class I should be starting with as a noob.

best you customise the classes to suit you and your style of play.

do you like to get up close to the action or do you like to shoot from distance.

also distance matters a lot, e.g. the uzi style guns are only suitable for close range, assault rifles medium range, other rifles at long range.

so i run a mixture of them and choose a class depending on the map.

I unlocked the F2000 last night, i had to switch to normal mode to get the kill assist ribbons for the assignment.

Playing Caspian border before Metro a couple of times, i'd forgotten how easy normal mode is with the radar & regenerating health. The MP7 worked great for me on that map.
