Not impressed at all with how Amazon packaged it though, came in one of their card envelopes like they'd use for a DVD without any sort of protection around it.

Depends on the trainer IMO. Shoes / boots you can get away with the regular horizontal lacing.

Yea, its better than I thought, about right for the price ( the black is cheaper than the white one, go figure).
