Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment's new IP)

This game sucks! GFX look like they were done in BF2 engine, mechanics are awfull etc. This is what Enemy Territory Quake Wars or even BF2142 should have been......when they came out not in 2014!
 
Some people suck with the Titan, it's frustrating in last titan standing.
I can usually hold my own very well against another Titan, and able to deal with two head on (When I'm able to use cover, shield etc) to a standstill (In one case I had both Titan's retreat which was funny)
 
Just had a couple of games and first impressions are good...

It's a very fast, almost twitch-shooter which reminds me a bit of UT crossed with COD. Can't see the complaints with the visuals, as it runs pretty much maxed out @1080 on my modest PC and never seems to hiccup. I'm just happy that the engine is solid unlike another recent high profile shooter *cough* BF4 *cough*.

My Titan never seems to last too long as I always end up running into 2+ enemy Titans, I don't think I'm using them intelligently enough but I'm only a couple of games in though.

One of the more disappointing aspects is the sparse pilot on pilot combat, you spend more time mopping up bots. I'd have preferred more human players & a limit on Titans. I understand why they have made it like it is but I'd quite happily jump on a server as a foot soldier.

Alright folks, you can get the Beta key directly from EA and they responded to my request within 20 minutes this morning!

All you have to do is contact EA at http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/ asking them for a beta access (be logged in with your origin account). They will add it to your account in about an hour.
Steps:
Select Titanfall from product list
Select the platform - PC obviously
Select topic - Titanfall beta access
Click the "email" link and say that you would like to get BETA access to Titanfall to try it out.

guys would like to cancel this, bought on origin, paid via paypal, any tips how to cancel, PS cannot cancel as did not use credit card. any ideas would be great thanks.

I thought my origin was bugging I saw between 22mb and 56mbps download speeds on a "20mb" line.

Even when it spiralled down to 1mb it still suggested 10minutes to download 12gb:eek:

I love comments like this. Go play BF2, then you'll realise something called 'rose tinted glasses'. Battlefield 2 hasn't aged very well :-P

Anyway, this is the first FPS game I prefer on a console, maybe it's the wall running, or moving a massive titan, or that I'm not as good on keyboard and mouse as I use to be :rolleyes:
