Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment's new IP)

It's incredibly average. I would just say it's "ok", it feels like it should be a free to play game.

Also, whats with all the random NPCs? They suck, and get in the way.

I love comments like this. Go play BF2, then you'll realise something called 'rose tinted glasses'. Battlefield 2 hasn't aged very well :-P

Anyway, this is the first FPS game I prefer on a console, maybe it's the wall running, or moving a massive titan, or that I'm not as good on keyboard and mouse as I use to be

Yeah, i know what you mean. Saw one the other day comparing the graphics to Half Life 2 due to the SOURCE engine. The mind plays tricks when we think how nice old games looked.

i love it :)
exactly what i was looking for, so easy to just pick up and play
been in the beta since Friday but tonight was the first time i had chance to play it

the AI is a bit dumb, but i like that.. i can get some kills then haha
i dont profess to be the best FPS player and dont take games as seriously as some do, but there is nothing worse going through a game and dying more or staring at respawn than you do actually playing it.

and for £24.69 i am more than happy with my preorder

REALLY fun game to play, just did a few matches and hit level 3 so far,

As its the source engine it looks pretty good and runs silky smooth on my frankly modest system with everything up high and no xfire on

not a release date purchase for me, but maybe when the price is right :)

I'll have some of what you're smoking.

If Titanfall feels like a FTP title, they should've been paying me to play BF4!

There is nothing groundbreaking about this game at all, a lot of hype as usual, which people get sucked into. I'll happily pay around £10 for this, which it will probably be at after a couple of months or so.

Also, no scope to play this game competitively at all. Sure, it may be fun to pickup and play but it's so mediocre.

Shame this is Origin only. Sounds kind of interesting (but definitely not interesting enough to make me reinstall the joy that is Origin).

For all of Origins short comings, I've never seen download speeds on Steam like I did on Origin.

Never had a problem with origin, don't really understand the hate for it. Not perfect but its not bad.

Anyone got a pc code for this? My mate is looking for one.

If he has signed up before yesterday it should be on his origin account already. Open beta should be tomorrow though. Or ask EA support to add it to his account.

I used to have faster download speeds on Origin - now it (Steam) maxes my home 80mbit connection well enough.

My issues with Origin are based around the interface though, and the forcing of users onto yet another system. Not that Steam haven't done the same in the past - they just happen to have done a better job about it.

Anyhow, I don't mean to turn this into an Origin vs Steam thing. It's always a shame when a game is tied to one platform - be that Steam or Origin or something else.
