Really? Interested to know why you think that.

I think it helps keep things interesting, running around a corner to see only a normal man gets much more boring that running around a corner and seeing titans and men fighting.

Fair enough, I guess you clearly don't like it, that's cool.

I don't really mind that you don't need a massive amount of skill to play it, if I can come away from a few matches feeling like I have had a blast that's good enough for me.
 
I didn't get chance to play any last night as I was at the gym till late... but my friend said that the BETA ended last night? any truth behind that?

Cool videos btw Andy :) planning on getting the full game on release?

No less than CoD, ARMA or BF4. If you're arguing that it takes less skill because of the Titans, then you haven't learnt to counter them effectively, even on foot you can take one out with not much trouble.

Just sounds like you're dying a lot to Titans and getting frustrated with it. Calling it a "noobfest" isn't really constructive enough for people to see a valid point behind your posts.
 
I am loving the Beta. Its great fun. I really don't see why not everyone likes it ? As for killing Titans on foot, remember to use the arc grenades followed by two sidewinder mags. The arc grenades really knock out their shields.
 
Also why do people say it has simple graphics ? Seriously ? Are you on maximum texture? It looks great to me and runs sweet on a 780 at 1440p.
 
dunno.. to me.. .all FPS games are generally the same regardless... get guns, shoot people with guns whilst they shoot at you. Use terrain and surroundings to your advantage blah blah...

Whilst it may or may not bring anything "new" to the table, I still prefer this over CoD and BF.... and its only a beta!

I just quite like the fact that you can be insanely mobile. To gain advantages in Pilot vs Titan you can take up higher ground or even lower ground in some cases. But you can do it quickly, not have to either fall out of a building or run down 20 flights of stairs!. Dunno... I just like it :D

as for graphics wise... I think it looks pretty good! there's nothing to me that stands out and says "zomg grafix sux!" Its decent enough for me to not notice. plus I'd take game-play over graphics any day of the week!

You cant put Arma in the same boat - that makes no sense.
 
Played 4 rounds last night and uninstalled, theres nothing inspired or exciting about it at all. Thankfully had low hopes anyway so not dissapointed! Its 6 minutes of npc bashing with an auto headshot pistol followed by 2 minutes of looking at a screen to do it again.

Why not? I've never seen anyone refer to ARMA as a skill based shooter. I don't see how this requires any less skill to play (not saying it requires a lot), it's just paced differently with different mechanics.
