Added flaps, sound is a bit messed on the Z1 compact (from reviews) and this has been used is due to being water resistant.

This is hardly a shock, given we already have the Galaxy S4 Active.

There's always going to be at least 2 versions until Samsung sort out their Exynos SoC to support LTE everywhere.

Didn't the Active have the same screen, SoC etc as the S4 though? I think only the camera/housing was different.

Very interesting, this is actual the first time in a while that I'm excited for a Galaxy released, S5 might be my new daily device.

I'm not very excited for this release actually.
I'm not sure why, it might be that a new phone wont offer me anything more than what my S3 does at the moment.

But I do hope it's a real looker and made out of metal!

The moto G is reasonably waterproof and that doesn't have flaps! It must be do-able!
