Fingerprint scanners are a joke, i hope this search for qwerkyness doesn't go further.
as a 2 yearly cycle upgrade option i think its fine.
as a standalone sim free purchase it better be well priced.
infact... it better be well priced or its going to flop.

seems all the "5" phones are just a meh upgrade to the previous.

I think we've run out of ideas..

I am pretty disappointed by this but I'm not going to be joining the burn it/samsung are dead brigade, I think its just a sign that Samsung too have created what they consider to be a distinctive design like Apple did with the iPhone 4 and they're sticking to it.

Shame, I'll totally have one if I can get one for free (like sim free for free which I can occasionally manage) but there'll be no money exchanging hands.

Actually made me want to get my S4 out of retirement lol!

i think it might do with battery life, think they should stick to 1080p screens and concentrate on improving battery life , my note 3 is probably best i had for battery life, was looking forward to the s5 but feel not impressed but i do like the fingerprint to unlock etc

I don't really mind the look of it, I never got the S4 as I didn't see there was much of an upgrade but Ill potentially be getting this depending on the price.

If its anywhere over £500 (someone said £650?!?) then it seems Ill be sticking with the S3

There was so much more they could have improved, especially with the camera:

• Faster lens
• Bigger pixels? (I can't see any mention online as to the size of the pixels on the S5, but I imagine they would have mentioned such an improvement?)
• OIS

The phase detection focus is an improvement but I'm not sure how beneficial that really is on a mobile device.

I'll ask when I get in the office. Late march at the earliest I'd expect though. On the bright side will probably mean a price drop on our remaining S4's

I'd like to jump ahead 10 months and see what the sales of the S5 are (will) be like. I'm not liking the S5 (own a S4 and S3:S2 before it) My personal feelings atm are I hope it fails and we get something decent nextime. If they sell bucket loads then maybe it's us lot that don't matter, but average Joe & Jane do. Now where are my meds
