Deffo, will be a different way to play so almost gives another style to the game. Should be some good teamwork with this. The guys I go on TS with all have single ships which are 1 person ships except one of our guys who has a Constellation so I should be able to have a go crewing for him.

Yeah I think its going to be amazing :) My biggest ship I have currently is the banu merchantman, which is currently said to be 4 crew.

Merchantman is big, I actually think it's one of the reasons they decided to increase the size of the Idris.

Very nearly bought a Merchantman but opted for a Xi'an Scout instead, wanted something nimble to offset the Freelancer a bit lol

I got the freelancer as well, it was my first ship so kept it. Also have the aurua LN and the avenger. I like the idea of the 890i at some point , the "luxury yacht".

Yeah the merchantman silhouette looks huge LOL :)

Gah! I've been holding off for over a year but I finally cracked. Got a constellation for my long haul high risk missions and a Cutlass as my dogfighting/Jack of all trades soloing ship and maybe to escort my Constellation on more dangerous sectors :D

The 890 jump is the only ship I'd consider trading in my retaliator for, I'll let you know if I pick one up halfmad, can never have too many potential crew members

Excellent mate, must admit I'm not sure I'd trade a Retaliator for one but we don't know how hard/easy the various ships will be to get in-game, it may be far harder to get the alien made ships than traditional manufacturers like MISC etc.

Holding off for a year then you jump in with a Connie?! Kudos mate!

Well I initially went for a cutlass but having read so much about the connie I couldn't help myself so now have both :p. Not buying anything else though. Might melt and change to similar priced ships if anything else takes my fancy.

Is there an OCUK clan to join?

What ships have you got?

Sort of unofficial OCUK one, not aware of anyone else that's made up of OCUK folk, we snagged our first OCUK Underboss earlier today :) You can apply via the site or I can send an invite if you let me know your forum name.

I've got a Freelancer and Xi'an Khartu-al both with LTI, I'm genuinely considering upgrading the Freelancer to one of the variants but want to see the specs first. Like you I don't intent to spend more on individual ships - I'd rather earn them in-game and although I don't really want to own huge ships I'm looking forward to being crew on them !

Yeah I'm not 100% sure I'll trade in the Retaliator for an 890 yet, it will depend on specs and probably if they let get LTI on the Jump.

I'll be up for joining Pagan once we get multiple orgs as I'm already founding one lol.

congrats on the Connie :) Nice looking ship, thought about one several times but resisted.

Yeah specs and pics would be nice.

I personally don't care about LTI it don't think it will make that much difference in the grand scheme of things.

Applied via the site! But my forum name is Ap0c666

What can I say I'm an LTI snob lol, I know its not that big a deal but I'd rather have it than not.

I'm hoping the 890 will be quick, decent weapons and be able to dock my M50.....if it ticks all those boxes I'm in.

I know the 890 is a luxury yacht but what is it's role? Transport?

Its supposed to be a luxury space yacht kind of deal, it was first hinted at in the 300i brochure as below.

Based on Terra in the heart of Human civilization, ORIGIN Jumpworks GmbH has been designing and manufacturing high performance spacecraft and components for over two centuries. From the unparalleled velocity of the M50 to the spacious luxury accommodations of the 890 JUMP, ORIGIN has engineered a solution for every lifestyle.
From high-tensile multimetal structural components rated for 150% survivability in the deadliest spatial environments to stylish interiors refined by Johann Hexlairre and the finest team of designers in the galaxy, ORIGIN spacecraft are more than the sum of their parts. All ORIGIN craft feature standard-defining upgrade mounts and technology access points. Only the highest quality component options are standard or made available as options at ORIGIN showrooms across known space.
All ORIGIN models are manufactured in a closed-cycle; everything from starship wing spars to cup holders are designed and constructed by ORIGIN engineers at ORIGIN-owned factories. You fly the spacecraft we imagined, with absolutely no compromises. Add to the equation unparalleled safety ratings and flight effectiveness scores and you know that choosing to pilot an ORIGIN spacecraft is putting your life in the best possible hands.

From the 30 million letter from the chairman:

"Origin 890 JUMP – The rumors are true: Origin Jumpworks has a larger ship in the works! The Origin 890 JUMP is an interstellar super-yacht with exquisite styling and an array of high quality upgrade options. Travel the stars in style with multiple decks, high visibility windows and a small boat bay. Whether you’re outfitting it to explore new worlds or to take a pleasure cruise through Terra, the 890 JUMP is the epitome of luxury, class and refinement!"

Yeah if it can dock a m50 or a 300i that would be the icing on the cake :) for me I think about star wars expanded universe books were Lando Calrisian always has some super space yacht which looks the part but packs good offensive and defensive abilities.
