The Tory effect? what is that exactly?
Boost figures, screw workers, use media contacts and control to make it look like it's working, blame the other guys.
I mean look at Royal mail, another perfectly viable British company privatised and it's going to be in the toilet in 5 years once investors have made quick bucks, perfectly good, already overworked postmen will lose their jobs in the name of "efficiency savings" and then prices shoot up.
Hardly anyone has seen a payrise in years, yet the cost of living is rising at an alarming rate. The only reason Tories are able to say "standard of living is fine" is because there is money in the country, it's just that the money is in the hands of people born in privilege. They've gotten what they wanted now, they killed the union and suppressed the masses, now they are free to do as they please while telling us it's a democracy. Ha, hogwash.
If only economics and politics were as simplistic as you seem to want them to be.
If only you were an economist, you could see how much the conservative party is reaming the vast majority of workers within the country in order to boost their figures, improve the return on personal investments and prepare for a comfy life.
Once upon a time there was one rule to politics - and it is the reason people elected to have leadership and government. The rule was to look after your constituency, first and foremost, look after your people.
Now it seems corruption is expected and almost accepted in politics, no longer at politicians expected to do a good job, it's just voting for who will screw you the least.
