I am looking to build a gaming pc and have a £700 budget. I want it be easily upgradeable later and only need a monitor with it.

Not really!

Intel will always dominate the market, but AMD do have some good gear. If you're looking for integrated graphics on a budget, their APUs would be the way to go. The 6300 is a great chip on a budget, but Intel will always be king!

Doomed's build is what I'd go for ready, except the RAM, CL11 1600MHZ..

Unless you went second hand, there's no Intel gear worth getting at this price point to be perfectly honest.

Seem to be out of stock, would go with this, less watts but more then enough for this build.

With this low budget, would spend ssd money to turn the 270x into 280x or the 6300 to 8320. Op can always add an ssd later.

Then you'll need something like a Gold 550w PSU or a Bronze 600+w, with attention paid to max output on 12v rail(s).

That strider 700w has the same 12v ampage as my 500w be quiet L8 I specced.

The only difference is the BQ PSU has dual 12v rails.

The be quiet ones are also better made and quieter.

TBH, its budget like these that prove a in between for 270x and 280x is needed to fill the market gap.

How long until we see the 280 hit the shelves

Where did you find that info please, Doomed?

According to what I found, the L8 500w outputs 456w on the 12v rails, and the Strider 700w outputs 630w on the 12v rail.

If it's accurate they actually have the same output then the Be Quiet is a bargain.
