The FA CUP Sixth Round - 8/9 March 2014 *** Spoilers ***

Quietly confident, yes but that post was referring to more than just top 4. We should be targeting at least 3rd now so that we don't have to play any qualifiers. The more games that City have, the better chance we have of finishing ahead of them..

City going through wouldn't have just made things in the League harder for them but Arsenal too. Arsenal will now be able to rest half their side in the Semi where as they'd have played their first 11 vs City.

At least 3rd? You should be targeting 1st, after all you had no objectives that needed achieving before you could go for the league ;)

Are you crazy, full strength team as possible is a must.

We have to respect Wigan.

I'm a big admirer of Wenger, but if he doesn't take the silverware with the reserves against the teams that are left he has to go. They have nothing else left to play for, not even Arsenal can cluster **** this up.
 Nothing left to play for? The top 4 have a few fixtures against each other coming up so it's far from a foregone conclusion. Gonna be a great end to the season though.

It's probably Arsenal's best chance at silverware this season but I wouldn't write off any of the top 4 for the league title.

The leagues yours to be lost. Points on the board and only 2 games against top half sides left?

Man.City's to be lost, ours to be lost if they fail.
That should have no effect on Liverpool though, they should be going all out to win the league as it's unlikely they expected or have budgeted for a top 4 so what have they got to lose?
Conditions won't be as favourable for them next season as they'll be Europe so they need to seize the day.

United Arsenal and Liverpool away for City still.

Both of you are both getting huge decisions so put it in your favour

For Liverpool to win the league we got to win every game, that includes utd away and city, Chelsea at home. Even though the team is on form I just don't see them not loosing a game until may. Would be amazing stuff if we did.

As Purdy touches on, City have a far harder run-in than you and are playing catch-up.

Of course we'll give it our all to win but I just can't see it happening. With your run-in and City soon to be out of all other comps (you may only have a couple of more matches too), I just can't see both of you dropping enough points.

Not saying its going to be easy but if Arsenal cant win this fa cup now then there is something very very wrong with what Wenger and the team are doing.

A specialist in failure is not something Wenger will be wanting to be remembered for.

Well Purdy constantly harps on about decisions in a teams favour having an effect so there's no point taking his thoughts in to consideration.
As I said before, you're the only side who have City & Chelsea at home, that's a big +.
If you beat us & them you'd be 1 point behind with a better GD than us and not far off them, if that were to happen we'd only need to drop 1 more point than you.
Can you not see that happening?

Yes, it's very possible that we'll beat you but it's not just down to 1 game. As well as playing you we've got to play City, Spurs and Utd. In contrast Chelsea only have 1 more game against a side in the top 10.

Can we win beat you, City, Spurs and Utd in isolation? Yes. Will we win all 4 of those? It's unlikely.

Even if we have a great end to the season, we're still going to drop points in another 2 or 3 games and that will mean that you'd potentially have to drop points 5 times in 9 games? Can't see it happening.

We'd need to win all but 1 of our games to have a chance of winning the League and that 1 can't be against City or Chelsea.

Of course it wont, Wigan have bested us a few times in the past few yrs when they were in the PL. Plus under their new coach they are playing pretty damn well, as well as they were under Martinez...could potentially see them back in the PL next season if they go on a huge winning run.

As for Wenger and the team??, something would be wrong if he puts out our best 11 and we dont win. But this is where Wenger needs to be a lot smarter especially when it comes to subs etc. Thought he played a blinder with Sanogo starting then only to bring on Giroud for the final 20 or so mins of the game and it worked as we got 2 more goals along with Rosicky being put in.

Personally i still want to see Ozil getting subbed or coming on as a sub, he did really well against Everton but i cant see him doing that every single game imho. Hopefully if we dont suffer anymore long term injuries ie Ramsey is the one i am most worried about as he is so important to us then we should be able to roll over Wigan.

But this is the FA Cup so nothing can be taken for granted, Wigan done over City earlier today proves that. Pretty sure City thought they could take out Wigan easily until they released that they werent, by then it was a bit too late.

Shouldn't Kallstrom be available in a week or two? Will be good to see how he fits in for the remaining 20 odd games this season. If Ramsey comes back before Easter we should be very dangerous on the run in.

Disregarding your initial dumb comment as it effects every season ever.

You expect Liverpool to beat the likes of Palace or West Ham away? The game raisers will let us down but we should finish 4th.

EDIT: Actually it doesn't really matter much in seasons like last year where the league isn't remotely competitive

Of course it does, that's why you've never won the PL obv, those pesky refs!
Not particularly but Baz seems to expect Chelsea to beat the likes of Stoke and Swansea who we've struggled against in the last few years.
