UEFA Champions League/Europa League 11/12/13 March *** Spoilers ***

Arsenal really should have went for it, u wont achieve anything by parking the bus when u need 3 goals to go through from the start. They really didn't give themselves a chance to go through.

Even if they attacked and Bayern thumped them atleast they gave it a go, tonight they were content with just hanging on and not going for it.

Frustrating to watch even for a non Arsenal fan.

If you are going to let the other team have more possession then you need to make sure that when you do have the ball that you make the most of it.

Arsenal kept giving the ball away and passing to the opposition. Also someone needs to teach Fabianski to kick.

Meh didnt expect us to win tonight but expected us to get tanked which thankfully we didnt, a 1-1 draw was about the best we could do although Poldi's goal was hilarious in that Lahm should have had a free kick but nope, Poldi just went and smashed into the net lol.

Epic penalty save from Flappy though so another highlight of the night. For me our best player tonight was Ox, was all over the place tonight and just ran out of steam. Ozil again not up to much as per usual and subbed off for Rosicky.

Problem was we didnt have much of the ball, our passes were sloppy if anything and Bayern just kept cutting us up. After our goal in the second half we did come alive for a bit but still lacking that killer touch.

Giroud can go and **** off for all i care now, so unbelievably bad and useless. Everytime i see him, hes on the floor writhing around like someone who just got shot lol.

Anyhow Bayern to win the CL this year, id be shocked if they didnt. Such a massive gulf in quality compared to our squad.

A break would help - who's to say they wouldn't have won more?

Well it's a months break rather than two, and half the teams that have a winter break end up doing friendlies for money anyway.

Thing is Muller is actually given a break throughout the season through rotation, so a month off, sure, great. But throughout the season he's given a couple games off most months. Arsenal didn't have to play Ozil against every bottom half team in the first 6-7 months of the season. We can create a rest for ALL the players through proper rotation. Even with a month off, if Bayern played all their players every game from August till end of December, they'd pick up more injuries and still look more tired.

Big teams protect the players that need protecting throughout the season, winter breaks are a complete excuse. Some players can play 400 games a year and not care, others are fragile, Wenger has a habit of treating everyone identical, if player X can train by running 400 miles a day, everyone else should.

What other manager would not give Wilshere and Walcott more rests, or Ozil. Mourinho recognised that Ozil is a big girls blouse and needs games off, more protection and not playing for 90 minutes.

Teams dont rotate as often as you appear to preach.

Most teams play a solid 11 with a few tweaks here and there sometimes else if you keep rotating you lose team chemistry. Who was it that kept rotating for i think it was either liverpool or chelsea a few years ago and as a result thet struggled to win games?

It was due to that. Not knowing who you will play with on the day.

Wenger does rotate. Rosisky and flamini have been used extensively to rotate players, wilsher too has been used as a rotated player but our CB's have been paired together because hardly ANY club rotates CB's as it can disrupt the defensive chemistry dramatically.

We could not rotate Girud because bendter is **** and Sanoogo was injured through most of the season.

That leaves who? we have 3-4 midfielders we rotate which is more then enough.

We are not a team like bayern who have 30 world class players all injury free.

kross was on the damm bench tonight due to ribery playing for christ sakes. how can arsenal compete with that?

do we have 2-3 walcott type players in our side? a striker as good as girud? a playmaker better/equal to ozil cazola or ramsey?

no we dont. We simply cant poach and buy the best players in our league like how bayern can using teams like dortmound as there feeder club.

We also dont have two month winter break on top of that

I guess it's the taking part that counts;) Sounds like arsenal really need someone with a little bit more bite up front:D

And I got called all sorts for pointing this out and suggesting that Wenger was bumming them by refusing to bring in a striker. God it feels good to be right :p:D

Rosicky and Flamini are covering mostly for injured players, not being intentionally rotated. Giroud COULD be rotated IF WE BOUGHT ANOTHER STRIKER.

It was Wenger's CHOICE to not buy another striker, therefore his responsibility, as for Bendtner being ****, he's not.

Bayern started Kroos, Muller, Rafina, Boateng and Shaqiri in their previous game...... really, other teams don't rotate much at all. Okay, if you say so. They also made multiple changes from the game before that, in which they had made multiple changes from the game before that. Martinez missed a bunch of months, they have a CB out injured. Ribery missed several games, they've had injuries but not a huge amount.

I don't recall suggesting changing 11 players every game, but resting Walcott for 1 game, instead of playing a just back from injury player for 7 games on the trot before he absolutely unpredictably picks up a season ending injury isn't going to ruin the team dynamic. Resting Ozil for a couple games here and there wouldn't ruin the team either, and playing a tired player who is completely uninvolved is WORSE than playing a fresh player who changes the team a bit.

Wilshere has been mostly out of the team this season due to other knacks, he missed the Liverpool game due to a knock and was back the next game and played through till injured yet again.

Again our lack of defenders/CB's in particular is directly down to Wenger. Gibbs came back from an injury, and got played till reinjured, etc, etc. Familiar story with Arsenal.

Refusing to use Bendtner, nor buy another striker, refusing to rotate sensibly. There are players who are likely to get reinjured and those who are less likely, players who you need to rest to keep fresh, and those that you don't. Wilshere/Ramsey/Walcott are obvious players to protect, but we don't. Being injured doesn't count as a rest.

Bendtner just hasn't got any confidence, when ever he plays he bottles it and passes rather have a shot. He has gone from super confident to no confidence what so ever.

I've always liked him but he isn't what he could have become. He needs to start "thinking" he is the best again which I don't think he will.

As for the diving #### robben I hope he gets crunched by a truck. Hate the little worm.

All over time to return to league and get CL secured. It's going to be very close.

FA Cup or nothing now.

A lot of you are naive to expect a win away from home with our current injury list alongside our march fixture set and Munich's recent form (particularly at home)

I did expect us to keep up the momentum after the poldi equaliser, they looked very worried but we didn't attack hard enough; i agree that giroud lacked any sort of energy/intent in doing anything remotely beneficial!

Hopefully some extra time in between fixtures will allow us to focus on the important remaining games this season, and bring in a quality striker over the summer..

Haha bald headed worm you mean:p. I didnt realise that Bayern had turned their pitch into a diving pool until i saw the amount of times that little **** was diving like a prima donna...not half as good as Suarez though:p.

Couldnt help but laugh when the first time he dived, the ref just waved the penalty appeal away.

Personally for me Wenger got his subs wrong, Ozil should have come off for Rosicky which he did but only through injury. Cazorla should have come off for Flamini and Ox should have been pushed forward a lot more earlier in the game.

If not Cazorla coming off then Giroud should have been benched and Ox could have played up top with Flamini anchoring the midfield. It could have worked or it could have backfired on us but really anything to change the game which Wenger wasnt willing to do tonight.

In his defence, he was forced to make the ozil change due to the injury speculation, switching gnabry for arteta was quite brave imo for a counter attacking munich side at home. Still unfortunately not enough game changing options for me coming off the bench.

Robben's attitude p**** me off tonight, a player with his ability should not be going down as easy as that, the first instance was a blatent dive (should've been a yellow) the second instance was a penalty but went down too easily.

It does help though.

When those teams won it. Did they have like 3 or 4 senior first team members injured at the time? Bayern are too strong. Too much depth and more refreshing then Arsenal

Like a captain you mean in Terry? Every club gets injuries, most don't spend £40+ mil on sulking Germans though to be honest.

How your lot can whinge about Ramsey, Gibbs, Wilshire and co being out is beyond me, it's almost like Arsenal didn't see it coming....they are made of glass.
