Hey guys,

I'm so excited, I got to order my new rig this morning. I had a last minute change of heart and went back to my original choice of the Infinity Tesseract because of the 5% off promotion this week.

My other choice was an air cooled setup and this was coming in very close in price to the Tesseract once I started to add coloured cables to the equation. So I figured the full water cooled setup would be the best bet and it looks so good to me.

Options were kept to the 1TB Samsung SSD and I switched the optional Blu Ray writer over to the LG 16x Blu Ray writer. Also I went with an Arctic White case, simply because it's going to be on show in the lounge sitting on a long white TV bench.

Now I need some advice though. This is my first water cooled pc and also my first proper pc where all the innards are on show. How do you guys keep your systems clean and have you got any tips for me with this rig and what I should be aware of with running a water cooled rig ?

Keep a eye on the liquid level in the reservoir during operation.

You could fit some tights over the intakes for cheap filters but I just used to keep mine clean with a air compressor.

Thanks a lot guys, I'll get that dust filter set for the case, I didn't realise there was anything like that so it just shows why it's worth asking on here.

I've also got a got compressor because I do airbrushing a lot so that will be used too.

Many thanks for your replies, I appreciate it guys.

Papablu,

I would wait until the computer arrives before ordering them as it may come with some already.

Good point, I've spent enough for this week anyway so it would be best to leave it for a few weeks. Let the bank get back to normal. Thanks HalfBakedJake

Nice one mate - you got a serious computer there!

Thanks, I'm really excited, this is going to be the longest couple of weeks of my life :)

Yeah the filters are a lot of money but essential because I do seem to get a lot of dust in my house. I'm not sure if that's down to the carpets or whatever but it's a real pain in the butt.

Positive pressure also works wonders for keeping dust out of your machine.

Hm, that's not something I'm acquainted with, any more info on that ?

I contacted OC today to confirm the dust filter situation and I have subsequently ordered a set to come with the pc. It's a lot of money for the filters but when I just spent £3,300 on a pc I'd rather know that it's protected properly.

How essential are surge protectors in the UK guys, should I get one ?
