Fair play if you can grind through that many poor games but what a waste of quality gaming time.
hes gotten the seriously achievements for the gears games like 3 or 4 times and those take probably weeks of online gameplay each just for one 100 pt achievement. also i was looking at his forza 5 achievements and he leveled up like 30 levels in a day, earned like 200 multiplayer medals in a day and also lead for 1000 miles in multiplayer races in a day.

1000 games if he completed them all 100%. Sounds more like a souless chore playing crap games to me. Fair play if you can grind through that many poor games but what a waste of quality gaming time.
Don't see the point in doing the XBox ones, I much proffered the PS3 Trophies.

Odd, there's no real difference apart from how they show you the 'score' and the fact on the PS3 they were just tacked on and seemed to take forever to sync or whatever they did.
It may have changed since the early days as I haven't turned my PS3 on for a long time so my experience may be out of date.
I preferred gamerscore tbh.
Trophies wouldn't exist if there were no achievements.
I love how people say he has no life. If that's what he enjoys doing then he's enjoying life. No rulebook that says you have to go walking on sunny days and go to the garden centre.

So very true. As long as a person is doing something they enjoy, and it's what they want to do (not what they think they ought to be doing) then it is never a waste of time.
I love to get out and do things as much as possible, but that doesn't mean someone who doesn't is wasting their life.
What would be a waste, is if they had never tried anything, then did years later and realise they much preferred that. So all you can do IMO is try a variety of things and then you know you're doing whatever you enjoy the most.
Anyway...I enjoyed 100% some PS3 games but only ones I loved to death and ones which were known to be extremely hard:
3D Dot Game Hero
Demon's Souls
Wipeout HD
Those are probably the 3 I enjoyed the most.
But then I changed my profile for various reasons and since then I haven't checked a trophy for a single game I've ever played since. (last used blitzwing85 account about 3 years ago i think)
