EE first but Vodafone last in mobile phone tests

Vodafone and o2 are terrible for data.
EE are just insanely priced, three are great.

Glaucus that Just about sums it up for me.

I've just moved form Vodafone to Three. I've been testing a PAYG EE and Three sim for a couple of weeks and I can't fault Three.
When I called Vodafone to get my PAC code they asked why I wanted to leave and I said I couldn't fault what I was paying each month but there's no point in having a cheap price plan if I can't use it, they couldn't seem to counter argue that so just gave me my PAC code.

Do you have a source for that? No mention on the three website. It might affect me as I use it for me work PC.

I was in a couple of Three stores yesterday trying to track down the elusive 'Red' Nexus 5 and had it mentioned to me that from next week Three were altering all their pricing across the board.

The only thing they know for sure at this moment is that tethering on 'contract' phones on the one plan are to be limited at 2gb. The sim only deal I believe remains the same.

Threes Data is superb and I am only on 3g at the moment. Their signal where I live especially indoors could be far better however.

I am due an upgrade from a S3 next month and will more than likely pick Three again.

This really does come down to location in the UK. My signal at home (SE London) is crap, but at work (St. Paul's, London) is fine.

Fish

Three have huge potential and will probably overtake EE when their 4G network saturates the market.

Only downside I've found is that with three sometimes the cellular signal lacks in buildings with thick walls.

EDIT: oh and their support don't have the best rep, but how often do you need to contact your provider for support (particularly when most of their offering are truely unlimited)

All depends where you are. On Vodafone 3G in Canary Wharf and the City I used to get no data despite full 3G signal, it was just so over congested. On Three it was slightly better but still bad. Now on double speed EE 4G but I still only manage 0.5Mbps at peak times. Not really worth it for the money.

Vodafone are terrible all over Stoke/Newcastle. So bad in fact that when trying to run a speed test report it errors EVERY TIME!

Just moved to 3 and the signal is sublime. Just watched a whole epsiode of Dexter on Netflix vis 3G at the gym.

My work phone is on Vodafone which is used mainly for email. The quality of service is just poor. Even getting decent 3G in parts of London seems to be a challenge.

I was in Cambridge the other day and the phone was virtually unusable except for calls.

Voice signal is my no1 priority. I work all over the country and often stay in holiday cottages Etc in the Cornwall,Devon, Norfolk etc. these cottages always have internet but rarely have voice signal.
I've yet to find 1 provider I can use reliably

I'm with Vodafone, and mainly because of some insane deals I've had to keep me. Agree data speeds are very poor at times, but phone signal NEVER drops (Un able to make a call)

Ditto this on all counts. Ridiculous deals, crap data speeds, but great 2g.

Went from EE recently to 3. Noticed that I get slightly less coverage with 3 but when I do I'm more likely to get 3G.

Biggest difference is that I was paying £12/month for 500MB 3G, now I pay £15 for unlimited 4G. :D

EE have some way to go to catch up with 3's pricing, I told the bloke at retentions that as well.

I think a large factor in this is location - I wouldnt touch 3 or EE where I live tbh (and although I am on o2 their service went a bit choppy for a while, seems to have been sorted now) I was on vodafone - now this was years ago (6+) but swapped to o2 when I went to my first contract (Sony Ericsson c902 :o) because they were cheaper at the time and have just stuck with them since.

This for me too, by far the best phone signal in all the places I need to be. Data speeds are kinda slow and weak, but ill get 10Mbps in the centre of Belfast which is bloody good in my book. Rarely use data anyway as im hooked into WiFi 90% of the time.

Sounds about right.
I took out a contract with TalkTalk which uses Vodafone. It was only £3.75 a month so it seemed decent. Yet I don't get 3G anywhere around where I live, I only get EDGE.
Vodafone are utterly rubbish unless you live near a city centre.

been with T-Mob for 10 years now and this will be the last, raised my contact twice in 2 years and since "merging" to EE the signal where I work is atrocious, yet, EE say there is nothing wrong, try telling that to 20 or so colleagues I have that say it's rubbish as well.
